Speaking toVarietyon the Marvel press line at Comic-Con, Ford was asked about the process required to turn his character into Red Hulk. TheStar Warsactor is generous enough to share the details that his character goes through before heswitches to Red Hulk. Harrison said, “What did it take? It took not caring. It took being an idiot for money, which I’ve done before.” He clarified that the process entailed Ross doing things his mother would not have approved. He added, “I don’t mean to disparage it. I’m just saying you have to do certain things that normally your mother would not want you to do — or your acting coach, if you had one.” As for the filming experience, Ford said he enjoyed it and had a great time. He was even delighted at the fans' response to the trailer.
Ford embraced motion capture technology in hisCaptain Americarole. The production used de-aging technology to make him appear decades younger. Ford has starred in massive franchises before he landed his Marvel role likeStar WarsandIndiana Jones. When asked about his anti-hero role, Ford said it was “a whole different cut of cloth” because it was “Free of some normal constraints to the imagination.” Thus, making it all the more fun. He also shared how much he enjoyed filming forCaptain America.
Ford shared:
The people I worked with were fantastic. The director, Julius Onah, did a terrific job. Mr. [Anthony] Mackie is great fun to work with. We had a good time. I enjoyed it.
Thaddeus Ross enlisted in the military and received the nickname “Thunderbolt” from his troops because he “struck like a thunderbolt.” However, inBrave New World,Ross serves as the U.S. President, making his presence and transformation all the more significant. His response to his Red Hulk transformation may have something to do with corruption, which is abundant in politics. There is no doubt that Harrison can pull off his Marvel character, whether he be a superhero, villain, or anti-hero. The 82-year-old actor with 60 years of acting career has already proven his talent not only with his longevity but the multiple awards he received over the years. In January, he even received the Career Achievement Award at the Critics Choice Awards.
In the comics, the Red Hulk is the nemesis of the Incredible Hulk, so one of the anticipated scenes would bethe two Hulks' encounter. Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner, aka the Incredible Hulk, in MCU, teased earlier this year at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival that he would reprise his superhero role in the upcomingCaptain Americamovie.Mackie also seemingly confirmed Ruffalo’s appearancein his film when he said that there are multiple Hulks in the movie.
