Obtaining new characters inHonkai: Star Railopens up new team compositions, resolves the problem ofneeding a certain elementfor certain fights, and offers a fun and effective way of keeping the experience fresh. Most often, it is better to prioritize pulling for new characters before going for Light Cones or Eidolons. However, there are Eidolons that are worth getting if players like a character enough.

Eidolonsare another form of an ascension system that can be activated when players obtain multiple copies of a single character through the Gacha system. They can offer a simple damage increase, provide better optimization for certain team compositions by allowing the character to apply debuffs, or even open up new team compositions that would not have been ideal at E0. Note that every character’s Eidolons have been limited to E2 for this list to best honor the term “high value.”

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks New Apocalyptic Shadow Boss

10Aventurine: Eidolon 1

Prisoner’s Dilemma

Increases CRIT DMG by 20% for allies with Fortified Wager. After using the Ultimate, provides all allies with a Fortified Wager shield, whose Shield effect is equal to 100% of the one provided by the Skill, lasting for 3 turns.

Aventurine performs exceptionally as a solo sustain unit, able to protect allies through the toughest content. At E0, there are only two ways Aventurine can provide allies with a shield: through his skill and hisfollow-up attack. (The follow-up attack’s shield value is only about a third of that provided by the skill, but provides 2/3 of it to the ally with the lowest shield value).

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Path and Element for Future Characters

This Eidolon effectivelyensures Aventurine never has to use his skill, making him even more skill point positive than he already is. A CRIT DMG increase for the whole team is always welcomed, and could be argued to be the more valuable part of this Eidolon. It’s not as impactful as the others on this list, butgreat for those who want a better sustain experience.

9Topaz & Numby: Eidolon 1

Future Market

When enemies afflicted with Proof of Debt receive follow-up attacks, they will enter the Debtor state. This can take effect only once within a single attack. The Debtor state increases the CRIT DMG of follow-up attacks inflictedon the target enemies by 25%, stacking up to 2 times. When Proof of Debt is removed, the Debtor state is also removed.

Despite the CRIT DMG increase, this Eidolon doesn’t sound worth pulling for on paper. However,Topaz’s most popular team pairs her up with Dr. Ratio, Aventurine, and Robin.Aventurine and Robin both have synergy within a follow-up team. Aventurine gains stacks to his talent whenever a follow-up attack is launched, and Robin increases the CRIT DMG of follow-up attacks during her ult. However, the reason for this Eidolon’s value lies in Dr. Ratio’s kit.

Honkai: Star Rail Introduces Jiaoqiu

Dr. Ratio’s A6 Trace states that an enemy needs to be inflicted with at least 3 (max 5) debuffs to max out his damage output. The problem with running this team is the fact that there aren’t many reliable debuffing sources, which is where this Eidolon comes in. To achieve maximum reliability, players will need other sources as well, such as Aventurine’s S1 orTopaz’s S1.Considering that this team is a somewhatpremium follow-up team, players running this team will likely have one of those already.

8Jiaoqiu: Eidolon 1

Pentapathic Transference

Allies deal 40% increased DMG to enemy targets afflicted with Ashen Roast. When inflicting Ashen Roast on an enemy target via triggering the Talent’s effect, increase the number of Ashen Roast applied this time by 1.

Jiaoqiu’s debuff “Ashen Roast” acts as two debuffs in one. It inflicts a burn DOT, and increases the damage enemies receive from any ally. The debuff can be maxed at 5 stacks on a single enemy, and only decreases by one stack every time the enemy takes a turn.

Honkai: Star Rail Sparkle

Jiaoqiu’s ultimate checks for the highest number of debuff stacks on a single enemy, and applies the same number of stacks to every enemy on the field. This then has achance of applyinganother stack whenever enemies take action while the ultimate is active. He can apply an extra stack through any of his attacks, ultimately giving thatteamwide 40% damage increase a 100% uptime. Not only does this make him better in the teams he’s preferred in, but it alsooffers flexibility as he provides value to teams he normally wouldn’t at E0.

7Sparkle: Eidolon 1

Suspension Of Disbelief

The Cipher effect granted by the Ultimate lasts for 1 extra turn. All allies with Cipher have their ATK increased by 40%.

The limited 5-star Harmony units thus far have all been valuable to have on any account, so it’s no surprise that all of them made it onto this list. “Cipher” enhances her talent’s stacks, which provides a teamwide damage boost, increasing it from a max of 18% to a 48% damage increase. This Eidolon adds a 40% ATK increase on top of that. Not all characters will benefit from this, as a few rely on HP and DEF stats to deal more damage. However, running Sparkle with characters that do benefit from this can result in a significant damage increase.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Robin’s In-Game Model

Although it’s not as multilayered as Jiaoqiu’s Eidolon, Sparkle is excellent at what she does, and this Eidolon only takes that a step further. Note that theextra turn on the ultimate also makes it easier to have a 100% uptime on said buffs.

6Robin: Eidolon 1

Land Of Smiles

While the Concerto state is active, all allies’All-Type RES PEN increases by 24%.

The Concerto state refers to Robin’s ultimate, in which she is unable to take action but instead provides a 100% action advance for the team, an ATK buff, and deals damage to enemies equal to a portion of her ATK stat every time an ally attacks enemies. This Eidolon improves her ultimate.RES PEN stands for Resistance Penetration, and is calculated with the formula: “base damage x (1- (elemental RES - RES PEN)).” Simply put, higher RES PEN meansmore damage.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Reveals Black Swan Rerun

The value of this Eidolon lies in the fact that Robin is great at what she already does. While she performs best on follow-up teams, her buffs and action advance make her great to have on almost any team. What better way to get value from an Eidolon than to get one thatimproves as many teams as possible?

5Black Swan: Eidolon 1

Seven Pillars Of Wisdom

While Black Swan is active in battle, enemies afflicted with Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, or Shock will have their corresponding Wind, Physical, Fire, or Lightning RES respectivelyreduced by 25%.

This Eidolon does almost the same thing as Robin’s, but limits it to certain elements. Black Swan is a DOT unit that isoften used in DOT teams(alongside Kafka), which is a team structure that prefers Ruan Mei over Robin. Ruan Mei’s ultimate already provides a 25% increase in All-Type RES PEN, so this Eidolon aims to provide even more damage by reducing elemental RES instead on top of the 20.8% DEF reduction on Black Swan’s skill.

Honkai: Star Rail Reveals Firefly For Version 2.3

While this Eidolon willmainly benefit DOT enthusiasts, it can also perform well when paired with a wind DPS unit.Black Swan herself can apply Wind Shear on every enemy automatically. This may not be the Eidolon’s intended use, but it offers more ways to use it.

4Firefly: Eidolon 1

In Reddened Chrysalis, I Once Rest

When using the Enhanced Skill, ignores 15% of the target’s DEF.The Enhanced Skill does not consume Skill Points.

As usual, ignoring DEF means more damage. However, the important part of this Eidolon isremoving the need for skill points on the Enhanced Skill. When Firefly uses her ultimate, she enters the Complete Combustion state. This provides a 100% action advance, increases weakness break efficiency by 50%, buffs Break DMG, and increases her SPD by 60. It’s not uncommon for a well-built Firefly to reach over 200 SPD during combat, which means a lack of skill points might become an issue.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals Harmony Light Cone

Allies on Firefly’s most popular team don’t need to consume skill points much, so it isn’t a big issue. However, this Eidolonallows Harmony Trailblazer to spam their skill, which can deal a respectable amount of damage with the assistance of the Super Break mechanic. Not to mention, it gets playersone step closer to getting Firefly’s E2,which grants an extra turn after killing enemies. This E2 is only as good as it is thanks to the E1’s effects.

3Ruan Mei: Eidolon 1

Neuronic Embroidery

While the Ultimate’s Zone is deployed, the DMG dealt by all alliesignores 20% of the target’s DEF.

At E0, Ruan Mei’s ultimate grants allies a 25% increase in All-Type RES PEN. As with a few of the others on this list, this Eidolonimproves what the ultimate already does by providing allies the opportunity to deal more damage.Considering Ruan Mei thrives in teams where there are two DPS units, those two units can take full advantage of her buffs, as both should be capable of dealing great damage.

Honkai: Star Rail Lekas Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae Rerun

With that said, the only reason this Eidolon ranks higher than Robin’s or Sparkle’s is because Rian Mei is preferred in more teams, and is often the best in slot support for many DPS units. Pulling this Eidolonimproves almost every current team composition, and most likely future ones.

2Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae: Eidolon 2

Imperium On Cloud Nine

After using his Ultimate, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s action isAdvanced Forward by 100% and gains 1 extra Squama Sacrosancta.

Squama Sacrosancta refers to the stacks generated by Dan Heng’s ultimate, which allows him to use his skill by consuming those stacks instead of skill points. This Eidolon increases the max number of stacks from 2 to 3, effectively granting him a free fully enhanced Basic ATK after using his ultimate. The action advance provided by this Eidolon also changes the way he is played. More often, it’s a better idea to use Dang Heng’s fully enhanced Basic ATK, use the ultimate, then the fully enhanced Basic ATK again to maximize damage output. This combo iscapable of hitting around 1 million damageif played correctly and used in the right teams.

Honkai: Star Rail Reveals Acheron’s Kit

Dan Heng suffers from beingskill point negative, as he’s capable of consuming three skill points in one action. Sparkle (who generates and provides extra skill points) is borderline necessary to get the most out of his kit at E0. While this Eidolon makes Dan Heng easier to play without her, pairing them together is still a good idea. This Eidoloncould be considered his E6 due to the jump in performance from E0 and E1,which explains why its ranking is so high.

1Acheron: Eidolon 2

Mute Thunder In Still Tempest

The number of Nihility characters required for the Trace “The Abyss” to achieve its highest possible effect is reduced by 1. When this unit’s turn starts, gains 1 point of Slashed Dream and inflicts 1 stack of Crimson Knoton the enemy with the most Crimson Knot Stacks.

The Trace “The Abyss” refers to Acheron’s need for at least two other Nihility units on the team to achieve her max damage potential. With this Eidolon, sheonly needsone Nihility ally. This clears up space on the team to slot in a Harmony unit to further buff Acheron’s damage. Acheron can generate one stack for her ultimate upon using her skill, soSparkle is the best in slot supportfor her.

Generally, it’s a much better idea to pull for E0S1 before going for Eidolons, as Acheron’sher Light Coneallows her to generate two stacks to her ultimate upon using her skill. Considering players most likely have her S1 before going for this Eidolon, that only makes pairing Sparkle with an E2S1 Acheron all the more valuable. Acheron is a DPS unit that relies on her ultimate to deal damage, and so the fact that this Eidolon allows her to gain one stack for free whenever her turn begins (along with everything else mentioned) is more valuable than any other Eidolon. Itmakes Acheron one of the best DPS units in the game(even more so than she already is at E0).
