But fans expected HBO to give a satisfying end to this season and give them a glimpse of the war that’s about to come. Additionally, the only series finale with a lower rating than The Queen Who Never Was is the final episode ofGame of ThronesSeason 8. The episode, titledThe Iron Throne, currently holds a rating of 4.0 on IMDb. For the uninitiated, the season 1 finale ofGame of Thronesscored 9.4, while the Season 2 finale had a rating of 9.3. Subsequently, the third and fourth editions garnered scores of 9.1 and 9.6, respectively. Meanwhile, the Season 5 finale went on to have a rating of 9.1. However, GOT peaked with the finale of Season 6, which currently holds a rating of 9.9 on IMDb. On the other hand, the finale of the penultimate season currently sits at 9.4.

Meanwhile, over 20% of the users gave it a perfect rating of 10. Several fans complained about the storytelling aspect of the finale as well as the entire season, saying that they kept on showing fans unwanted scenes during the finale when the makers could have given them a glimpse of the war. Meanwhile, some believed that they expected the finale to have some twists and turns, but sadly, they didn’t get any of it.
