Chapter 2 ofBlack Myth: Wukongchallenges you to find two special items, namely the Sterness of Stone and Keeness of Tiger, to progress towards the final boss:Yellow Wind Sage. The Sterness of Stone is a mysterious gadget that is used to unlock the gate leading into the center of the Yellow Wind Ridge.

How To Get The Sterness Of Stone in Black Myth: Wukong
To get Sternness of Stone, you need to defeat theStone Vanguardboss found in theFright Cliffs, close to theRockrest Flat Shrine.This is a mandatory boss fight, so the chances of you missing out on this item are slim.
If you’re not sure how to get to the Rockrest Flat Shrine, simply go back to theValley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine in Sandgate Village. On the opposite side of the arena, you’ll see a wooden rope bridge. Cross this bridge and continue following the trail through the gate while defeating any enemies that stop you.
You’ll eventually come to theSquall Hideout Shrineand can go either left or right — both paths will take you to the Rockcrest Flat Shrine. Look past the rock where the shrine is situated, and you’ll spot a gate in the distance. Going through it will take you to an arena where you’ll need to battle the Stone Vanguard.
How To Defeat Stone Vanguard Boss in Black Myth: Wukong
The Stone Vanguard is a massive rock monster with a large health pool and damaging AoE attacks. He also has the power to summon a horde of explosive rock minions that can drain a big chunk of your health. Thankfully, his attacks are pretty easy to dodge if you get the timing right.
You can also use theCloud Step Spell,dropped by theBlack Wind King, to evade the Stone Vanguard’s attacks and create openings for counterattacks. Defeating the Stone Vanguard drops the Sterness of Stone.
