Quick Links
Like in a lot ofother modern video games that allow players to make choices,Nobody Wants to Diefeatures multiple endings. The one that players get will be determined by some of the big decisions that they’ll need to make throughout their playthrough. This provides an incentive to replay the game, while also encouraging players to think carefully about their actions and the potential consequences of them.
There are only two distinct endings inNobody Wants to Die, although the player’s choices can also have an impact on the voicemail message that plays over the end credits. Completionists will need to get both endings if they want tounlock all of the Trophies and Achievements inNobody Wants to Die, although, with some smart save file management, this can be done in a single playthrough.
Warning: The following guide contains major spoilers forNobody Wants to Die.
The ending that players get is determined by two big decisions: the first being whether they choose to lay the blame on the murderer or Green aftersolving the third evidence boardand the second being whether or not they decide to shoot Jane Salma.Choosing “The murderer is behind it all.” will result in players getting the bad ending, as too will choosing Green and shooting Salma in Central Park. In the bad ending, James dies and his consciousness is returned to the Bank, after which, players are rewarded with the Anguish Trophy / Achievement.
How to Get the Good Ending in Nobody Wants to Die (End of Deadly Dreams)
to get the good ending inNobody Wants to Die, players will need tochoose “Green was behind it all” and then have James throw his weapon in Central Park. In this ending, James opts to drink the poison that killed Green rather than letting his psychosis take over. Doing so kills him permanently, after which, he’s finally able to make it across to the island, where he reunites with Rachel and finds peace. If players get the good ending, they’ll unlock the End of Deadly Dreams Trophy / Achievement.
How to Get Both Nobody Wants to Die Endings in a Single Playthrough
In order to get bothNobody Wants to Dieendings in a single playthrough, players will need tomake a backup of their savefile, as the game doesn’t have a chapter select and there’s no way to create a manual save. They should choose “Green was behind it all” and then copy their save file onto a USB stick after running into the chief in Central Park (thus allowing them to shoot or spare Salma). Alternatively, if they want to see all of the ending variations, they should back up their save immediately after solving the third evidence board at Sara’s place, which is right before the Green/Murderer choice.
Nobody Wants to Die Ending Variations
It could perhaps be argued that there are four endings inNobody Wants to Die, although the additional two are arguably just variations of the ones shown above. When it comes to James' fate, he either ends up back in the bank or dead, with the only real difference being whether he damages Sara’s body before dying. Some of theother decisions inNobody Wants to Diecan impact the contents of the voicemail message from Sara that plays over the end credits, although this again has no bearing on James' fate.
