Since Whiteclad Noble has two forms (half serpent, half human), this boss fight is divided into two distinct phases. Each phase has its own unique attack patterns and changes in behavior, challenging you to adapt your tactics accordingly. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect from the Whiteclad Noble in both phases and how to effectively beat him.

The fight begins with Whiteclad Noble leaping in the air and lunging his spear at you. His main attacks in Phase 1 involve rapid spear thrusts, charged spear attacks, and water manipulation. He frequently uses his spear to create a powerful AoE water swipe, and you’ll need to dodge carefully with thePillar Stanceto avoid taking significant damage.

The problem is, Whiteclad Noble rapidly moves around the arena and can strike from any direction. To counter this, you need to stay alert andbe prepared to dodge attacksat a moment’s notice. Keep a close eye on his quick movements to anticipate where he will strike next. He might even use his spear to launch himself at you, either by sticking it into the ground and swinging off it or by simply swinging it towards you, so be on guard.

If youImmobilizehim at the right moment, you’re able to stagger Whiteclad Noble and hit him repeatedly till you can charge a Heavy Attack to drain his health. With the right timing and quick reflexes, you can dodge most of his attacks and turn the tide of the battle.

After you drain his health bar, a cutscene triggers Phase 2 of the fight where the Whiteclad Noble reveals his true serpent form. This transformation makes him even more agile and dangerous, plus gives hima whole new health bar.

The Whiteclad Noble’s Phase 2 sees him retain many of his previous attack patterns, but with some key changes. His water-wave projectiles are now more targeted towards you, though less frequent than before. He still uses his jumping charge thrust, but now his snake body powers his leap. Put simply, he is more powerful and his attacks have a long reach, making them difficult to dodge.

You can still use the Pillar Stance to your advantage, but Phase 2 is the time touse your SpiritsandRed Tidesspell.Combine theImmobilizespell with the Wandering Wight Spiritto perform a combo that drains up to 30% of the Whiteclad Noble’s health. When the opportunity arises, use theRed Tide spellto transform and deal maximum damage to finish off the boss.

Once the Whiteclad Noble is defeated, you will be rewarded with1049 XP,which is enough tolevel you upand get another Spark. Additionally, you’ll receive699 Will, threeYarn, andJade Fang. The Jade Fang is a special crafting material used in crafting weapons.

Pay attention to the Whiteclad Noble’s dialogues after you defeat him, as he’ll hint atthree bells in the Black Wind Mountains, which you can ring if you want to find a secret boss and progress inBlack Myth: Wukong.
