Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreedoesn’t put a lot of focus on it’sranged weapon selection. There are several categories, from light bows to ballistas, but they’re not as powerful nor as versatile as the melee and magic options in the game. However, they remain a viable option as a secondary weapon for melee players.Ash of War: Igon’s Drake Huntis a DLC specific weapon skill that can be applied to Greatbows and has decent damage potential. It isn’t as cheesy as some of the other options inElden Ring, but it is powerful nonetheless.
Ash of War: Igon’s Drake Hunt – Overview & Weapon Types
Limited But Effective
Skill of Igon, drake warrior. Ready the bow before unleashing a twisted shot with a great bellow that considerably enhances its power.
InElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Igon’s Drake Hunt isa new Ash of Warthat grants its equipped weapon the standard affinity. The Ash of War: Igon’s Drake Hunt can only be equipped with one weapon type: theGreatbow. It is not usable with other ranged weapons.
When you use this Ash of War, the player lets loose a shout that pushes back enemies in close range, and enhances the damage of your next shot. This damage increase makes it a decent skill for the Greatbow. With the right weapon and arrow selected, you can knock down a lot of health from your opponent very quickly. Ash of War: Igon’s Drake Huntcosts 13 FPto use and has the same charging animation as a Greatbow would without using the weapon skill. It doesn’t take up any extra time than a normal shot, but it deals more damage at the cost of FP.
