Introduced in the Steel Dawn update forFallout 76, theBrotherhood Recon Armoris a unique looking set that is popular among Brotherhood of Steel fans. Outside of Power Armor, the Brotherhood Recon Armor is one of themost powerful armor types inFallout 76.
Unlike most of the other armor sets in the game, it will take players quite a bit of time and a fair amount of luck to acquire all the plans to craft a full set of Brotherhood Recon Armor. Also, since it’s untradable, you won’t be able to purchase pieces of the set from other players. But the grind is more than worth it, as the armor looks great and works great, too.
How To Get Brotherhood Recon Armor In Fallout 76
There aretwo possible ways to obtain the Brotherhood Recon Armor set. The first way is throughDaily Ops. Players earn one guaranteed rare reward once per day for completing the Daily Operation within 8 minutes. You also have a small chance to receive a second rare reward, but this doesn’t happen all that often. There are lots of rare rewards in the Daily Ops reward pool. Since there are multiple plans needed to craft the whole set, you’ll need to grind Daily Ops regularly and have luck on your side to complete the whole set.
The other way to get the set is throughMinerva. Minverva’s inventory changes regularly. She sells all sorts of discounted gold bullion plans, and sometimes, she will sell the plans to craft Brotherhood Recon Armor pieces.Minverva’s location changes from week to week. She will either be at Foundation, the Crater, Fort Atlas, or outside the Whitespring Resort during her big sale event.
It’s worth noting that, once you have read the plan to craft Brotherhood of Recon Armor, it is possible to receive random Recon armor pieces for completing events, as legendary enemy drops, and via Murmrgh.
Brotherhood Recon Armor - Stats & Mods
Unlike the armor pieces themselves, the plans to craft mods for Brotherhood Recon Armor can bepurchased from Regs inside Vault 79. The best mod for this armor set, just like most other armor sets, is the Buttressed mod. This will offer the largest increase in damage, energy, and radiation resistance. As for the armor itself, while itisn’t quite as good as Secret Service armor, it is still a very sturdy armor set. In fact, it is one of the best non-Power Armor armor sets in the game. The stats can be seen below:

As a whole, this is a great set that offers some of the best damage resistances outside of Power Armor. Withthe right set of legendary effects, a full set of Brotherhood Recon Armor can be very good at protecting the player from enemy attacks.
That said, it is an end-game armor set. So, if you are a lower level player, then you’ll need to get by using other armor sets until you either unlock all pieces through Daily Ops or save up enough Gold Bullion to purchase them from Minerva.
