Illusions take root inFortniteChapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, and players who are brave enough to try and fight what’s real and what’s not can battle it out against Mysterio. It’s odd but welcoming to see the Spider-Man villain hold so much responsibility as a villain on theFortniteisland, and players can use Mysterio to test out the loot pool, so long as they don’t find themselves beaten by the illusionary master.
Mysterio is no joke, so try not to laugh too hard at his fishbowl helmet. This is a villain that will not be taken lightly, and it’s going to take a fair amount of guns, and probably a few bodies to take him down andclaim the prizes that are unleashed from his elimination.
Mysterio Location
Players can find Mysterio wandering around Doomstadt, specificallynext to the bronze statue of Doctor Doom near the center of the POI. Mysterio will be wandering around this area, teleporting and biding his time until someone worthy of his attention comes to challenge him.
Make no mistake, for Mysterio, isn’t about being a showman, and his weapons can easily see players overrun and eliminated, especially since his illusions will cast quite a few gun-wielding dangers. Doomstadt is a decent location enough, and with Mysterio there, a race to claim his great loot might begin among other players who land here.
How to Beat Mysterio
When players enter into the gated area where Mysterio wanders, they are going to see what sort of powers this villain holds. Mysterio will immediately be hostile, so feel free to throw in a few bullets as a tip to the illusionist. Mysterio doesn’t like to stay still, so if players are trying to keep their sights trained on him, they might find themselves disorientated, since Mysterio teleportsaround the vicinity of the Doctor Doom statue to confuse players.
Mysterio’s teleporting antics can be a tad frustrating, especially since more of Doctor Doom’s Latveria Guards will rush onto the stage to try and aid the Marvel villain. Players really should focus on the NPC enemies before Mysterio, as Mysterio has the ability to duplicate himself. These doubles don’t have the same health as Mysterio, but their guns are equally as deadly, so try and avoid them but do take them out fast, so that the focus can remain on the central Mysterio.
The best weapons to use against Mysterio are close-rangesince Mysterio will constantly stay close to the player as he uses a shotgun of his own.Shotguns and SMGs are greatly effective, as the boss room is very small, so players are going to need fast and effective weapons to take them out and ensure that they are not overwhelmed by teleporting and duplicating enemies that appear. Once defeated, Mysterio drops the following:
Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion
When crouching, activate cloaking. Cloaking ends when ending crouch or attacking.
Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion is one of the more unique ones seen in the last few seasons, for its quite passive in use. Players can crouch and wait a moment to see themselves become totally invisible. This is something that players can use for surprise attacks, as they can keep crouched (which doesn’t show up on visual audio cues) to stay behind enemies and shoot them from behind.
Once attacking or standing has been activated, the cloaking will immediately run out, so players have to make sure they are ready for the cloaking to end before beginning their ambush. It sounds like a good medallion, and it can be, but the only problem is that using medallions provides other players with a radar that might ruin the stealthy position.
Mysterio’s Sovereign Shotgun Stats

The Sovereign Shotgun is a greataddition to Chapter 5 Season 4’s lootpool, and it’s easily one of the best shotguns inFortnite. This fast-firing, hard-hitting shotgun may lack decent range, but players can confidently hug their enemies with a blast that will easily send them back to the lobby. Aiming isn’t even necessary thanks to the decent spread of pellets, allowing Mysterio’s Sovereign Shotgun to rule above all.
