You’re going to stumble upon metric tons of junk while playingOnce Human. However, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, as they say. Players will need to gather lots ofRefined PartsandSpecial Partfor their mid-high-tier crafting projects, and digging through mounds of seemingly useless garbage is the best way to get them.
FindingRefined PartsandSpecial Partis going to be confusing at first, especially since they don’t just appear randomly as part of regular loot tables. This guide fornewOnce Humanplayersaims to alleviate a bit of that confusion in hopes of helping players find these crafting materials as quickly and as easily as possible.

Basic principles like acquisition and level requirements are the same as before, but since players will be visiting new areas, we’ve updated this guide to mention the places where players can find these two resources on the snowy mountains of northern Nalcott.
How To Get Refined Parts In Once Human
Unlike other resources, you’re able to’t getRefined Partsas loose loot. Instead of picking them up, you need tomake your own bydisassembling the random junkyou find while exploring. Specifically, you need to gather junk that spawns around the Iron River region and beyond if you want to getRefined Parts. Here are some items you’ll want to look out for when raiding POIs:
A good place to start is theRefinery Pollution Point found at coordinates 5249, -3727.This is an industrial complex with plenty of valuable junk just lying around. It’s also one of the best places tofind Fireproof Plastic inOnce Human, so you’ll be hitting two birds with one stone if you loot this area. you may find it directly south of Greywater Camp.
How To Get Special Parts In Once Human
You getSpecial Partthe same way you getRefined Parts— by dismantling junk. The only difference here is that Special Parts can only be obtained from items that drop in higher-level areas. Specifically, you may start getting these items once youstart exploring Chalk Peak (Lvl. 32+)and beyond. You’ll want to look for electronics and appliances, which you’ll find plenty of in residential areas, rec rooms, kitchens, and even Securement Silos. Holt Town andFurnace Lair in Chalk Peakare great places to start.

Regardless of what kind of parts you need, the only way to get them is to dismantle junk in aDisassembly Bench. Most (if not all) junk items are useless by default, so you may freely disassemble them at home once you get the chance.
Refined andSpecial Partare key components for crafting higher-tier equipment and vehicle parts. Before you go crafting items, you’ll want tostock up on Energy Links inOnce Human,as many high-tier recipes require thousands of them as part of crafting costs.
Special Parts and Refined Parts in Once Human Way of Winter
The Way of Winter scenario inOnce Humantakes place in the previously-inaccessible northern fringes of Nalcott island, and players are restricted to this zone only. As such, none of the previously mentioned areas are available. However, you can still get Special and Refined Parts the same way you do above: loot level-specific areas and dismantle materials.
To get Refined Parts inOnce Human’sWay of Winter scenario, you need to loot level 20-30 areas. Thesouthern Vena Fjord regionis a great place to start — follow the road along the snowy mountain and raid every camp and town you see.
To get Special Parts inOnce HumanWay of Winter, you’ll need to raidlevel 30+ areas. The best place to get Special Parts isthe Ember Strand on the western end of the map, which mainly contains level 40+ enemies. You’ll often find junk here that can be scrapped for both Special and Automatic Parts. You can also tryraiding Securement Silo Psi and 08, which are levels 30 and 40 respectively.
