While workshops may not make themost denars a day, they are one of the safest options to make money as long as you continue to check-in. Workshops can be purchased in towns, letting players pick the safest towns in their kingdom to buy workshops, where they will never be touched by an enemy.
How To Purchase A Workshop In Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord
Workshops exist in just about every major city in the game, so picking the right one is important. Workshops can be purchased in any city you are friendly with and can walk around in, but it’s usually best toonly pick cities your kingdom owns, and are a bit deeper in your territory. To purchase a workshop, you’ll need tofind a Shop Worker or owner and ask to purchase their workshop.
When walking around in a city, press the, “Show Indicators” button to make all icons of things within the city appear. Workshop icons will appear yellow, and once there, find a Shop Worker inside to talk to and ask to purchase the workshop. Sometimes the workshop will be owned by an NPC you’ll need to find in the city and purchase the workshop from them, often for a higher price.
These named NPCs can be found easily by goingback to the city menu and finding them in the menu at the top right. When scrolling through the options in this menu, you can also see if they own a workshop and go to them directly, making the process much quicker.

Workshops are mostly self-sufficient, costing a low daily salary andturning raw materials into something else, depending on the kind of workshop it is. When talking to the Shop Worker of a Workshop you own, you may sell the shop, access the Warehouse, orchange what is being made. All of these things can also be done in the clan menu. The number of workshops you can own isdetermined by your clan level.
The production and profit of your workshop are determined by that city’s economy, which will always be changing. Should all the raw materials in that city run out, production will be halted, you can eitherchange the kind of workshop for 2,000 Denarsor just be patient and wait for more to restock. In the Clan menu, you can also choose to put outputs directly into the Warehouse to be picked up by you. This will halt all profits but give you the opportunity to sell the materials further off for a better price.
