TheSteam Deckcan run multiple programs using Decky Loader. It allows you to install unofficial programs like the NonSteamLauncher and add programs like theEA Gamesapp through Steam Deck’s gaming mode.

As such, this guide has been updated to feature the steps for setting up a sudo password, allowing players to do so with ease. Creating a sudo password will also allow you to install other third-party programs to modify and improve your Steam Deck’s versatility.

Users may experience an issue where the NonSteamLauncher plugin is missing from the Decky Store. In the event this doesn’t get resolved by the developers, use the following steps to download and install the plugin via Desktop Mode.You must have Decky Loader installed first.
Ensure that you choose a memorable password, as it will be required to install additional third-party programs in Desktop Mode.
