Takeda Takahashi is the son of Kenshi and the lastMortal Kombat 1kombatant to beintroduced as part of Kombat Pack 1. He’s a relatively new fighter in the grand scheme of things, with his first franchise appearance having come in 2015’sMortal Kombat X. That’s not to say that he isn’t still popular though.

Takeda fights using a variety of weapons, although is best known for his barbed whips. It’s these that he uses most inMortal Kombat 1, both during regular kombat and when performing his finishers. For those interested in the latter, the following guide will cover the button inputs for both of Takeda’sMK1Fatalities.

To perform Takeda’s Millipede’s Bite Fatality, players will need to pressDown, Forward, Down, Front Kick(X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, or B on Switch) while standing atmedium range. If done correctly,Takeda will wrap his barbed whips tightly around the other Kombatant’s torsoand then quickly retract them. The barbs on the whips will cut deeply into the other fighter’s flesh like a chainsaw, eventually causing their body to explode and their head to fly high up into the air. Takeda isn’t finished just yet though, and with a quick lash from one of his whips, he slices the severed head clean in half.

Those hoping to pull off Takeda’s second Fatality should pressBack, Forward, Back, Back Punch(Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on Switch) while standing atMedium range. Doing so will result in Takeda firing his whips through the other fighter’s chest and then kicking them so that their body is torn apart as it is dragged along the whips' barbs. Finally, he pulls the two twisted whips apart, creating a shockwave that ripples along the whips before cutting the other Kombatant in half. Takeda then takes a moment to celebrate with hisKameo fighterof choice.
