Concordwill give players a wide range ofcharacters to choose from, each with a different way of being played. Some are slow and bulky but pack a punch. Some are extremely mobile and use tactics to stay alive without directly engaging enemies. However, when a player picks Lennox, they are ready to take on anything. Lennox is just as good at long-range as he is up close, in an enemy’s face.
Lennox will be able to switch between 2 different pistols during matches. The first is his HL-4 “Bell Ringer” Heavy Handgun, and the second is a Chesterly Model 3 Revolver. Getting the timing right can mean a big increase in damage dealt over time thanks to not worrying about reloading.
How To Play As Lennox In Concord
Lennox is a green-skinned alien gunslinger with a big emphasis on his single-hand pistols. He also has a kit that makes himplay like Cassidy from Overwatch 2, such as reloading while rolling and throwing an exploding projectile. One trick Lennox has that Cassidy does not is his ability to regenerate health using one of his active abilities. Lennox has the Crew Bonus of a Warden, meaning he will grant a longer weapon range to those who switch from him.
Moving As Lennox
Lennox has a standard roll and is able to double jump. This gives him the ability to make it on top of surfaces and ledges that single jump characters cannot make. Players using Lennox will want to take wide routes to avoid finding themselves in a passageway with an opponent that can make short work of him before he is able to heal up.
Engaging Enemies With Lennox
Lennox is great at dealing consistent damage thanks to his kit. Players using Lennox do not need to stress as much about reloading when not in combat, as even if they only have 2 bullets left, they can swap to a fully reloaded weapon if they time things right. Players should prioritize dealing the bulk of their damage with their heavy handgun, due to its higher damage per shot.
What Are Lennox’s Abilities In Concord?
Lennox has four abilities — 1 passive, 2 active, and 1 Combat Trait. His kit revolves around always being on the offensive and being able to come out on top when his opponent needs to reload. Normally, players can use a dedicated reload button when their weapon’s clip is not full, but they can also reload by attempting to fire their weapon while it has no ammo. Lennox is also able to instantly pull out a reloaded pistol by switching weapons, and his default variant is able to reload through dodging.
Gunslinger
When locked in an exchange with an opponent, having to stop and reload can be a life-or-death situation. Once Lennox’s current weapon has no ammo left, pressing the weapon swap button will pull out his other pistol at full ammo, even if it is almost/completely empty.
Dodge Reload
If the player makes a mistake and times their weapon swap incorrectly, they can use their dodge to instantly reload the weapon they have equipped. This gives Lennox a massive advantage in a 1v1 exchange if his opponent finds themselves needing to reload. This is the Combat Trait of the default Lennox, and his II Variant instead has an increased ammo clip. There is no telling how many other Variants of him will be addedover the course of the game.
Claxton Healing
Players are able to use this ability to start regenerating their health. This will come in the form of healing a small amount over time, rather than an instant burst of health. Players will gain more recharges of this ability by eliminating opponents. This means if they run out of uses, there is no amount of time they can wait to get their next.
Exploding Knife
Lennox is able to make use of a dedicated damaging ability called Exploding Knife. This deals a single large amount of damage that can finish off an enemy on their last bit of health. It is best to use this ability when the player is confident they can land a hit, even if it will not finish off their opponent. This ability is not on cooldown, nor will it recharge by killing opponents. Instead, they will need to pick up more of them, which will drop from eliminated foes. This isanother Overwatch comparisonmade about the character.
Strategies For Lennox In Concord
There are many different game modes, and having a solid game plan can raise the odds of your team winning the match. There are numerous different situations you may find yourself in, and knowing what to do when you find yourself in one of them will allow you to perform optimally. If players feel the game is a bit much for them, the devs have providedample accessibility options for playersto tweak things to their specific needs.
When To Use Claxton Healing
After activating their Claxton Healing ability, players will begin healing back their lost life after a brief start-up. There are 2 times when players will need to use this ability, while in a firefight and after finishing a firefight. Players should face off against an opponent with potential cover to their side. Once their health has taken a significant hit, they can move to safety and use this ability to raise their odds of winning the exchange.
Players will also get a charge of this ability from eliminations, meaning if there is a nearby healing spot, they should first attempt to get a pick-me-up there instead. However, should they see an opponent, duck and use this to ensure you don’t give the enemy team an easy point. It is best to always have 1 charge when you need it during combat, rather than using one of them to top up health while the player is safe.
Concorddoes a phenomenal job of its healing economy, with damage dealers dipping into support territory. The support characters also feel just as good as damage dealers. However, some players still think there isone support archetype missingfrom the equation.
Enemy Encounter
Lennox is great at dealing damage at range and up close. Players will have times they can drop 1-0ff and Emari in 1v1 exchanges. Players will want to make use of Lennox’s Gunslinger passive to just endlessly fire bullets at their opponents at range, or when they meet one around a corner. Players will want to maneuver themselves so that they can duck behind a corner to use their Claxton Healing if they feel they might lose the exchange.
The moment they see a solid opening, they should use their Exploding knife to ensure the most damage. Once their target falls, they will get a recharge of Claxton Healing and be able to pick up an Exploding Knife from their fallen target. If there is a second enemy, using Claxton Healing can help outlast them, and the pick up 2 Exploding Knifes once they have also fallen.
Enemies On The Zone
There is power in numbers, meaning it is unwise to rush a zone with multiple enemies on your own. It is best to check if your team has an Anchor character, as these are the tankiest of the characters in the game. While they are serving as the center of attention, flank the zone from another angle. Lennox is great at providing long-range damage that can stack with the damage to whomever the Anchor is also damaging. The sooner an enemy goes down, the less overall damage your team needs to worry about. Divide and conquer works really well at snatching up a zone.
Teammates On The Zone
Position yourself in a flanking position between the zone and a likely point of access. Poke for damage at any enemies that appear. The idea is to give them tunnel vision into wanting to fight you rather than realize they are losing the match.
It’s always great if the enemy you are shooting at is killed in the process, but the true key is to keep fighting from a distance, dodging, and healing. Your team has the zone and is winning. This means that so long as you are distracting enemies before they get to the zone, there are fewer opponents for your teammates to worry about — and the more likely you are to win the match.
Alone On The Zone
When there are no allies around and you are left sitting on the point to try to push for victory alone, you are in a bad situation. You will be able to respawn inzone capturemodes from Overrun, so it is best to hold your ground and contest the zone even if the odds are not in your favor. Thanks to Lennox’s healing, he can be quite tanky and even win against multiple enemies that try to rush the zone.
However, in modes that do not have respawning, it is best to retreat and live to fight another day — use your Claxton healing if you have to while retreating. Just stay alive and push once your team is able to back you up.
