Before you may find theMad TigerinBlack Myth: Wukong, your first objective is to find and defeat theTiger’s Acolytebossfor theOld Rattle-Drum. This boss can be found on anarched bridge in the Windrest Hamlet of the Yellow Wind Formation.

TheTiger’s Acolyteisn’t a challenging boss to take down and defeating it rewards you with aSpark Point, some Will, and theOld Rattle-Drumkey item. With the Old Rattle-Drum in your possession,you’re now ready to pursue the secret quest to locate theMad Tiger.

Use The Old Rattle-Drum At Windseal Gate

Progress through the second chapter to find theWindseal Gate Keeper’s Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation, orsimply fast travel to it if the location’s already discovered.

Once you’re at the shrine, head into the ruined village and across the wooden bridge. Take an immediate left under the wooden structures to reach a gray, misty areawhere you can use theOld Rattle-Drumto progress the Mad Tiger’s quest. Once you’re done with the brief cinematic, proceed to progress this quest further.

Use The Old Rattle-Drum In Windrest Hamlet

The second location where you must use theOld Rattle-Drumis in theWindrest Hamlet of the Yellow Wind Formation. From the Windrest Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine, head to the ruined village near the Windrest Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine, and once you’re past the large gate, turn left to find yourself in yet another gray, misty area thatindicates using the Old Rattle-Drum.

Proceed to play theOld Rattle-Drum, and prepare for the next leg of your journey, which is in theSandgate Village.

Use The Old Rattle-Drum In The Valley Of Despair

To use theOld Rattle-Drumone last time, discover orfast travelto theValley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine in the Sandgate Village, andhead across the wooden bridge and into the village.

Once you’re inside the village, look for an exit in the bordering walls to find yourself in yet another gray, misty area. Using the Old Rattle-Drum here results in the appearance of a child thatinvites the Destined One to jump into the well to meet an old friend — the friend, of course, is theMad Tiger.

Jumping into the well will drop you straight into the Mad Tiger’s lair, consequently a boss battle. So, prepare in advance before taking the plunge.

The Mad Tiger is a large, aggressive beast that uses fast melee combat and employs several AOE attacks. Despite its aggressive approach to combat, the Mad Tiger is not a very challenging boss to defeat.
