Star Wars Outlaws Wanted Level, Explained
There are three key situations in which Kay Vess will need to lower her overall wanted level inStar Wars Outlaws.They are as follows:
Open-World
While they aren’t listed here, there are two indirect methods for lowering a wanted level inSWO.The first is death. When Kay is eliminated at any wanted level, she will be charged a fee and come back with a clean slate. The amount she is charged will depend on the severity of the wanted level. The second indirect method is to simply wait it out. If Kay hides for long enough, the Empire will eventually give up its search. This can be a lengthy proposition, however, particularly if Kay has racked up a seriously high wanted level.
How to Lower Kay’s Wanted Level with Imperial Satellites
Of all the methods to lower Kay’s wanted level inStar Wars Outlaws,this is the simplist. It is also the only method that has a clear tutorial, so players may already be familiar. Essentially, whenever the player finds themselves with a wanted level in space, no matter what the level is, they will simply need to fly to an Imperial Satellite and hold down Y/Triangle. There is no punishment for this, and no cost.
Across all ofStar Wars Outlaws,locations that allow for Kay to lower her wanted level are marked on the map with a simple version of the Empire’s symbol. Highlight the symbol and it will show up in the world. ensure to get very close to the satellite when you arrive.
How to Lower Kay’s Wanted Level with Corrupt Imperial Officers
Every city inStar Wars Outlawsfeatures a corrupt officer who is willing to help Kay remove her wanted level. The only catch: they won’t do it for free. When you first enter a city, take note of the small Empire emblem on the map. It is the same symbol that marks the satellites in space, and the terminals in the open-world.
Should you find yourself with a wanted level while in a city, make a beeline to the corrupt officer. They will always be happy to help Kay with her legal troubles.
How to Lower Kay’s Wanted Level with Imperial Terminals
Using an IMperial Terminal to remove Kay’s wanted level is the most challenging method, but it is also the most rewarding. To find an Imperial Terminal in the open-world, look for the small Empire symbol on the open-world map. Unlike the satellite and officials, the terminal building will be lightly guarded, usually with at least three Stormtroopers. If you are approaching the building with a wanted level to begin with, however, there is really no reason to play it stealth.
How to Use an Imperial Terminal in Star Wars Outlaws:
Most of the terminal buildings will have a basic environmental puzzle that you must solve before you may enter. Whether this is destroying an energy barrier, or powering up a door, there is never an easy path inside. Once inside, you will find a terminal built into the inner wall. You will need to useStar Wars Outlawsslicing mechanicto use the terminal. Kay can slice a terminal from the beginning of the game, but it will help immensely if she has the Slicing Kit and Slicing Kit Upgrade abilities from the Expert known as The Slicer.
After the terminal has been sliced, there will usually be two options:Clear Wanted Status,andTransfer Arrest Credits.If you hack into the computer without having a wanted level, the first option will not appear. After clearing the wanted level, make sure to transfer the arrest credits. It is usually a small amount, but it is still nice to receive a little bonus for clearing your own name.
