To find Wild Dragons, use the Manage Realm Affairs decision and select the Dragon option.

Gaining Dragonlore Knowledge In CK3 AGOT

Once players have enough Dragonlore, and they have been alerted to the presence of a wild dragon in their lands, it’s time to slay.To initiate this event, right-click on the dragonfor the option. Upon doing so, players will be told that they have a chance to find the dragon’s lair, a chance to find nothing, as well as a chance for the dragon to find them first.

The Dragonslayer Trait not only providesProwess,Prestigeper month,Dread Gain, andGeneral Opinion, but it alsoincreases the odds of slaying another dragonin the future.
How To Kill Dragons In War In CK3 AGOT
A single brave warrior on a mission for instant glory is not the only way to kill a dragon inCK3 AGOT. Entire armies canattempt to do so in war. First of all, when adragon is used in sieges, it isunder increased threat. Nevertheless, it’s not advisable to wish to be sieged by a dragon.
In battles,dragons always have a chance of being killed, and inCK3this essentially comes down to luck. However, by specializing in Anti-Dragon Warfare, a realm’s chances can be increased.
Anti-Dragon Warfare & Scorpions
Anti-Dragon Warfareis an Innovation that allows a culture to build Scorpions asMen-at-Arms units. Scorpions are purpose-built for bringing down dragons, making them essential for any side lacking these huge fiery beasts. The Innovation also allows players tobuild Scorpion Emplacements, where they canstation their Scorpions to help them deal even more damageagainst dragons.
The Anti-Dragon Warfare Innovation is alreadyunlocked by all Dornish cultureswho, in the 82 AC & 106 AC start dates, have yet to join the fold of the Iron Throne. Other cultures will have to spend years researching the Innovation. In terms of using Scorpions, players will simply want tobuild lots of themand make sure they are in the army facing off against a dragon.
Dragon Vs Dragon Duels In CK3 AGOT
For those lucky enough to be a Dragonrider themselves, another way to kill dragons in war is to fly into battle and hope for aduel in the sky. Players will need to make sure they are part of the army in question, and they need to make sure theyhaven’t disabled the use of their dragon in war.
In a battle with dragons on opposing sides, there is a small chance for theEnemy Dragonrider Spotted eventto trigger. From here, players can elect toflee or fight. There’s also a Sky Ambush event where the enemy dragon rider spots the player first.
Even if players attempt to flee, the opposing dragon and rider might chase them, initiating a fight.
The duel works similarly to standard duels inCrusader Kings 3, with players choosing between options that can increase or decrease their chances of success. The options typically depend onthe rider’s Personality Traits, butsuccess comes down to the Combat Effectiveness of the dragonsand their personalities.
