Some of the planets inStar Wars Outlawsare incredibly large, making fast travel something of a necessity. Sure, players can use the Speeder to get around if they really want to soak in some of their stunning surroundings, but there’ll almost certainly be times when they just want to get to their destination as quickly as possible, and it’s here thatthe fast travel mechaniccan be incredibly useful.
Unfortunately, fast travel isn’t available during the early stages of the game, with players having to get around on foot or using the aforementioned Speeder to begin with. Thankfully, though, unlocking fast travel inStar Wars Outlawsis relatively straightforward, with the mechanic tied to main story progression. The following guide will explain how it all works and when exactly players can start using fast travel.
How to Unlock Fast Travel in Star Wars Outlaws
Whenplayers first begin their adventure on Cantonica, they won’t see any kind of fast travel option due to how linear and enclosed the Canto Bight area is. Once they arrive on the moon of Toshara and the game starts to open up a little, though, they’ll start to see fast travel points appear on the map; the first of which being the Mirogana City Landing Zone.
Unfortunately, players won’t be able to fast travel right away, as, much likesaving inStar Wars Outlaws, fast travel is unavailable during missions. As such, the first chance that players will get to use it comes after completing the Underworld mission, due to the first few hours of the game consisting of back-to-back missions. Once they’ve completed Underworld, players need onlyopen the map, highlight a fast travel point, and thenpress either the Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) button to fast travel.
Fast travel is also unavailable while exploring restricted areas.
How to Unlock More Fast Travel Locations
For the most part, players will be able to unlock new landing zones simply by visiting them, although there are one or two notable exceptions. For example, some of the fast travel locations inStar Wars Outlawsare deep within the territory ofthe game’s criminal factions. In these instances, players will need to improve their reputation with a faction before they can use its landing zones, which they can do by completing missions for them or making decisions that work in their favor.
