InElden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, Torrent has a health bar just like the player. Torrent can berevived using a flask charge, or healedusing aRowa Raisinthat is easily crafted.Shadow Of The Erdtreeintroduces another type of raisin that players can craft and use, the Spirit Raisin.
Spirit Raisins give Torrent the ability to charge through enemies and knock them out of the way without losing any momentum. While this won’t make Torrent an ideal source of damage, it does greatly help when trying to run through groups of enemies and will keep Torrent from getting stuck when being swarmed by weak enemies you don’t want to fight.
How To Craft Spirit Raisins In Shadow Of The Erdtree
The recipe for Spirit Raisins can only be obtained if Moore is still alive. He will die automatically aftercompleting his quest linebut won’t disappear during the events of the main story like other NPCs.
Spirit Raisins are crafted using theForager Brood Cookbook [7]. To get this cookbook, players will first need to travel to the Church Of The Crusade, which is just to the northeast after exiting Fort Ensis. Instead of entering the church,go around to the back right side to find a curled-up Forager. This NPC will not be hostile and will also need to be protected, so don’t accidentally bring other enemies nearby where they may accidentally hit the Forager.
Standing near the Forager, drop aSunwarmth Stoneso that the Forager is within the range of effect. Sunwarmth Stones can be crafted using theBattlefield Priest’s Cookbook [4]and requires:
Wait a few moments and the Forager will begin to get up, eventually sitting up on its knees. Leave the Forager alive and travel to the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace to find Moore.Exhaust all dialogue options with Mooreif this is your first time talking to him, and he will mention the Forager clan is giving you a gift as thanks, and you’ll get the Forager Brood Cookbook [7]. With this cookbook, you’ll be able to craft Spirit Raisins using oneRada Fruit, which is incredibly common and found throughout the Realm Of Shadow.
How To Use Torrent’s Charge
While riding Torrent, feed him a Spirit Raisin and a blue aura will appear around him. For the next minute, Torrent’s sprint will push enemies out of the way and keep Torrent moving forward. This is done by using the usual sprint button and will have the knockback effect for only about three seconds after it is initially used. Thedamage done by this push is next to nothing, but the knockback will slightly push back and stagger regular-sized enemies, letting you ride by safely.
