Changli is a versatile character inWuthering Waves, excelling both as a main DPS and a sub-DPS, providing players with diverse gameplay options. With herlimited-time banner becoming availableduring the second phase of the version 1.1 update, players also have the opportunity to unlock her Companion Story Quest, “Immortal Blaze.” This quest allows players to delve into Changli’s background and gain a deeper understanding of her personality.
As withmany companion questsinWuthering Waves, Changli’s quest features engaging cutscenes, a unique storyline, and various puzzles and mysteries that add depth to the experience. Completing “Immortal Blaze” not only enriches the player’s knowledge of Changli but also provides additional rewards and insights into the game’s lore. Here’s how players will need to navigate and complete this quest.
How To Unlock Immortal Blaze Quest?
Quest is be automatically available from 25 May 2025 onwards, and all players need to do is complete Chapter 1 - Act 7 of the main story quest, Thaw of Eons. After that, players can go to the designated location in Hongzhen to start the quest with a cutscene. Here, players will have a short intraction with Changli, asking to meet her in a designated location.
Find a Place Next to a Ring and Hanging Eaves
After speaking with the NPCs in the area, particularly the Suspicious Spectator and Xinyi, players need to head to a specific location to progress the story. In this mission, players are required to find a place next to a ring and hanging eaves, as indicated by an area marker. Surprisingly, this is one of the most challenging parts of the quest, as players may take some time to find it without any guidance.
To find the correct location, players should head north of the marker and climb the roof of the building next to the mountain as can be seen in the map above. There are several points where players can use their Grapple to scale the building more quickly.Once players reach the highest roof of this mountain, they will see the glowing marker and be prompted into another cutscene, which will pan the camera to a ring-shaped ancient structure. After this, a new marker by the Pavilion will appear, and players will need to set their in-game clock to between 13:00–15:00 to meet Changli at this location.
Immortal Blaze Quest Walkthrough
After meeting with Changli and having a long dialogue with her, players are required to move around with Changli and interact with variousNPC in Mt. Firmamentfor the next section of the quest, which is quite straight forward. The entire quest takes around 2 hours without skipping any dialogues.
Players will spend a good portion of the quest inside the Sonoro Sphere, solving a variety of puzzles. Players will meet a little girl inside the Sonoro Sphere, and move forward together after a dialogue with this girl.
Solve the Puzzle With The Little Girl / Find a Way to Get Inside Together
Players will need to step on certain pressure plates to advance. This puzzle requires players to step on the pressure plate on the left side while the little girl steps on the right side. After that, the door will unlock, and players can move forward, where they will encounter more enemies that need to be defeated. Afterwards, they will also need to use the nearby flaming flower with their leviator to burn the blocking branches and move ahead. Players will once again defeat a set of enemies and move towards the area. There are a decent number of supply boxes around that players can collect on the way to the next section as they move forward, investigating various items.
In the next part of this section, players will need to find a way to get inside with the girl again using the same pressure plate mechanism. To progress, players need to ask the little girl to stand on the device by interacting with her. Afterwards, the door will open, and players will need to use the Chronosorter inside, moving it all the way to the right to keep the door open. After this, the girl will automatically follow inside.
Some players have reported that there is a bug where the little girl doesn’t follow the player after utilizing the Chronosorter. If this is the case, restart the game, which will allow players to continue onwards from this section, and speak with the girl again and redo the Chronosorter.
Following this, players will need to defeat the Tacet Discord enemy inside before getting to the room where they will need to solve a puzzle with light mechanisms.
Connect the Light Beams Inside The Mechanism 1 & 2 Walkthrough
Players will need to investigate the mechanism, and afterwards rotate them to be able to connect the start and end points by reflecting light through the prisms on the way.
After doing so, players will be able to move forwards and investigate the familiar mirage, which will forward them to the Changli’s point of view. Players will need to move forward as Changli, while defeating the TD on her way, and clear the roadblock with flaming flower again. After some dialogue, now on this side, players will need to connect the light beams inside the mechanism again. It is a little bit more complicated than previous side, however still quite straightforward. Players will need to use the Levitator to put the light prisms on the correct locations to direct the light beam before rotating them.
After this, players can move forward again, collect the supply box on the way, and go through the door. They will need to defeat the Chrono Shadow to be able to leave the Chrono Sphere, which has two HP bars. Once it is defeated, players will have another cutscene, leave the domain and have dialogue with Fuling, Wuli and Xinyi.
Rest for a While (Two Days)
Next, players will need to move forward the in-game time by at least two days to progress further. The hour doesn’t matter. After that, players will need to go to Hongzhen and speak with Xinyi to learn about the whereabouts of Changli. Players will then go to the agreed location near the Tianqu Tree to meet Changli, and have another dialogue as well as an ending cutscene, completing the quest.
Upon completing Immortal Blaze,Lores Beyond the Rangesworld quest, which has beenmissing from the exploration progress for Mt. Firmamentalso becomes available, and will be automatically triggered.
Immortal Blaze Quest Rewards
Players will be able to collect a total of 2000 Union EXP, 140 Asterite, as well as other resources such as Shell Credits, Advanced Resonance Potions and Advanced Energy Cores. Additionally, players will unlock the Deserted Trail Trophy by completing this quest, which is another 10 Asterites.
