After three years of support,Chivalry 2updates have concluded. Reflecting on the journey, Torn Banner Studios stated on a blog post thatwhenChivalry 2launched, it had committed to at least doubling the game’s content post-launch. This promise involved adding new maps, modes, weapons, features, and experiences to create an engaging medieval battlefield game. Over three years, the developer feels it has more than met this goal, significantly expanding the game’s content, features, and quality.

The 11th and finalChivalry 2content update was released in May. This update provided the narrative conclusion toChivalry 2’s war between Argon and Malric, featuring a cinematic Team Objective map called Citadel, which the developer considers its proudest creation. With all these updates, the developer believesChivalry 2to have reached its peak as a leading medieval combat game. Despite this, Torn Banner Studios reassured players thatChivalry 2would continue to receive maintenance for any critical issues. Online services, including official and unofficial servers and matchmaking, will remain available to the player base.

The latestChivalry 2hotfix released on July 30th included several important balance changes and bug fixes. Key adjustments included decreasing the fuse timer and spawn delay in the Regicide at Trayan Citadel map, and updating server and client backends to improve overall stability. Various combat and customization bugs were also addressed, such as the repeated use of the spoon item stab attack and voice line mismatches. Additionally, some improvements were made to unofficial server command protections and XP and gold awards.

As Torn Banner Studios shifts its focus to new multiplayer projects within theChivalryuniverse and ventures into new co-op territory, it aims to bring new experiences to fans. Even though content updates have ended, players can still enjoyChivalry 2’s amazing combat experience, as the developer ensures the game will continue to be supported for maintenance of any issue.
