After many fan requests for an M-rated game, theJackbox Naughty Packis on the horizon, offering players three adult-oriented mini-games called Fakin' It All Night Long, Dirty Drawful, and Let Me Finish. Many fans of theJackbox Party Packseries have also grown up with these games, making M-rated titles seem a natural choice for an older target audience. Consequently, many longtime fans and potentially new ones may be eager to try the first M-ratedJackboxgames. Of course, some fans may be curious to know more about theJackbox Naughty Packfilter and storage options, especially given recently introduced tools likeJackbox’s Megapicker. Fans may also be curious to know what the future holds for the franchise after the release of theNaughty Packnext month.
In a recent interview with Game Rant,Jackbox Games' CEO Mike Bilder spoke more about theNaughty Pack’s filter options and streamer settings, including how the pack interacts with the Megapicker. Bilder also teased more about Jackbox Games' plans following theNaughty Pack, which sounds like fans will have even more to look forward to.
Jackbox’s Naughty Pack Filter Options And Streamer Settings
While the Jackbox Naughty Packis an M-rated game with adult content, Bilder explained it does feature some filter options and streamer settings to moderate its content to some extent. For instance, it retains the sensitivity settings introduced in previous titles, which enable players to filter out vulgarity and pick how strict they want to be.
TheNaughty Packalso adds a uniquestreamer modewithin Fakin' It All Night Long enabling remote play. Bilder emphasized that theNaughty Packis still very much an M-rated game, adding that adult content is something to be expected and mature content cannot be filtered out entirely to make it teen-rated, as perhaps, is also to be expected. As Bilder explained:
“There’s some ability to restrict or moderate a bit. Again, it’s an M-rated title, so you’re still going to see and be exposed to adult content, and we’re making that abundantly clear even to streamers and influencers online that like to play our games.”
Bilder also spoke about thefuture plans for the Megapicker, with plans to update it with more features as the team adds new games. While the Megapicker currently doesn’t have restrictions like parental controls, Bilder said there is a filter that enables players to turn off M-rated games so they won’t appear in the catalog. This sounds like a sensible option in the interim, and Bilder added the team also hopes to add more functionality options regarding accessibility in the future.
Jackbox Games' Future Plans Following The Naughty Pack
Looking ahead, Bilder understandably couldn’t reveal whether players will get another traditional Party Pack anytime soon. However, Bilder mentioned the team is currently ideating titles for next year and said theNaughty Packisn’t a turning point for the company. Instead, Bilder said that fans can look forward toteen-ratedtraditional party games from Jackbox in the future too. While aJackbox Party Pack11 remains unconfirmed, this could bode well for anyone eagerly awaiting moreJackboxgames following theNaughty Pack’s release. Of course, whether there will be more games for theNaughty Packalso remains to be seen.
Intriguingly, Bilder added there is more for fans to look forward to from Jackbox in both 2024 and 2025, which could come as exciting news for fans of theJackboxgame series. As Bilder teased:
“We will also have other announcements this year. I can’t really talk to that yet, but there’s more to look forward to fromJackboxin 2024 and then there’s a lot of interesting stuff cooking for next year. Excited for what 2025 will hold for us as well. We’ve got some interesting and exciting stuff in the works.”
