Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 265 dropped earlier today and it was certainly a mix of intriguing and disappointing for the fans in many ways. While most fans expected the chapter to be full of action, this week’s chapter was rather tame in that it did not give fans any new major developments inthe fight between Yuji and Sukuna.
It was exciting in some ways and, at the very least, it added a bit of depth to Yuji’s character, which fans know has been lacking. Hopefully, the author will use this after to build an incredible fight between Yuji and Sukuna, and at the same time, add more depth to both of these characters. That said, a lot needs to be discussed in regards to this chapter.
Yuji Shows Sukuna Around In His Domain In JjK 265
In the previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans got to see Yuji open his domain for the very first time. This was a development that fans expected would happen at some point in the series, because Yuji is the main character. With the story now coming close to its end, it was a given that he wouldgo on to unlock his Domain Expansion, and that is precisely what happened in the story. Yuji unlocked his domain and surprised the fans when he was at a train station. Fans believed the station to be his domain, but as things stand, it is unclear as to what his domain truly is. This was also hinted at by Sukuna at the very beginning of the chapter, where he implied that when sorcerers fight, sometimes they connect on an emotional level due to cursed energy being born from humans in the first place. Sukuna also mentions that he thinks this is something different. He asks Yuji whether it is his domain, but Yuji himself doesn’t know what exactly it is.

As things stand, it is unclear what power Yuji is utilizing. However, this ability seems to be somewhat different from a usual domain expansion, because Yuji was able to manifest whole sceneries inside of his domain. From the train station, to streets, to parks, and even shrines, Yuji was able to take Sukuna everywhere. The vast majority of the chapter was focused on Yuji showing Sukuna around and, according to him, the idea behind this was to verify that the King of Curses gets to see the normal lives of people and the experiences they have. Sukuna believed that the worth of a human is decided by the role they play, and, most importantly, how they die. To Yuji, however, these things do not matter. Although Yuji once believed these things to be true, he has now come to the realization that they are not needed to define the worth of a person. Even the most mundane things that a person does in a day can be a good enough reason to live for, and define their lives.
It would make for a life worth living and that is the conclusion that Yuji has come to. Fans got to see the vast majority of the chapter through the eyes of Yuji and his perspective change in real time. This was a phenomenal part of the story, however, in terms of Sukuna’s character growth, fans did not get to see anything new because they already knew that nothing Yuji does is going to affect him in any way.

Although Yuji tried to get Sukuna to see things his way, he clearly failed at that. Sukuna did not feel anything despite understanding everything that Yuji had to say. His thoughts are unchanged as is his way of life. Sukuna still wants to do what he wants to do and in many ways, he was disappointed that allthe rage that Yuji had for him had amounted to this. However, he eventually connected the dots and realized that Yuji was actually pitying him. Upon this realization, he clearly asked him why that was the case and Yuji started to get back into his battle mode. He threatened Sukuna and told him to let go of Megumi and return to his body.
If he did not do that, then Yuji would go on to kill him.

This was an absolutely unbelievable threat from Yuji, especially one given to the King of Curses. Essentially, Yuji is implying that he has the tools required to kill the King of Curses and the tool is, of course, his domain. If he doesn’t comply, then he’s going to unleash all his powers on him and defeat him for good. Of course, upon hearing this, Sukuna would not stay quiet. The King of Curses took this personally and looked absolutely visceral. He threatened Yuji back and told him that he would make him eat his words. Not only that but he would decapitate him and then kill every single person who he holds there in front of him. Sukuna is not going to take these threats lightly and a battle now looks to be set in JJK.
Of course, as a setup chapter, this week’s JJK was great, especially for the character growth of Yuji. For Sukuna, however, it was somewhat disappointing. However, what fans know is that the chapter to follow is going to be absolutely sensational and will deliver an incredible battle between these two. Perhaps, this might just end in one chapter or it could span over several, and either way, it will be very exciting.
The Final Battle Inside Yuji’s Domain Begins
Yuji Vs Sukuna Is Just About To Heat Up Even More Than More
With Sukuna and Yuji exchanging their final words, their session of exchanging ideas and words is now over. The series is now going to jump back to combat, and now, it is time for them to showcase what they truly are capable of. In terms of what Sukuna can do, fans already know everything. He has already shown all his trump cards, his capabilities, and his undying determination in the face of powerful threats. Yuji, on the other hand, has to showcase new powers and he will do so in the upcoming chapters of the series. Things are going to be incredibly exciting forJJKfans up next, and they absolutely cannot wait to see how the protagonist of the series grows and whether he’s able to live up to the threats thathe dished out on Sukuna.
Fans who were waiting for Yuji’s domain expansion were disappointed this week, but it is only a matter of time before it is revealed to them. Needless to say,this battle between Sukuna and Yujiis going to end very soon, which means that the rise of the next strongest is just around the corner.
