Summary

This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267.

Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 257 dropped earlier today and it was certainly a very exciting addition to the Final Arc of the series. As fans know already, Jujutsu Kaisen is very close to its end, with the author having announced that he plans to wrap up his story within five chapters, which includes chapter 267. WithJJKchapter 267 already out, four more chapters remain, which means thatthe battle against Sukunais likely going to wrap up soon, and the last one or two chapters, at the very least, will be there for the aftermath of everything.

This is because there are likely going to be many unanswered questions in the upcoming chapters of the story. Coming back toJJKchapter 267, fans finally got to see the battle between Yuji and Sukuna reaching its climax this week, with Nobara finally returning, against all odds. All of these major events led to JJK chapter 267 becoming one to be remembered for ages.

JJK 267 Yuji’s Fingers

The Mystery Behind Sukuna’s Finger Is Finally Revealed

Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 267 was incredibly intense, and right from the get-go, fans got to see the mystery behind Sukuna’s finger being tackled. At the end of the last chapter, fans got to see Sukuna’s finger inside some kind of shrine. It wasn’t clear as to who this finger belonged to, or what the author was trying to imply here. This week, all those questions were answered in the story, and fans finally know that the finger that they saw in the previous chapter belongedto none other than Sukuna. Previously, fans were under the impression that the finger they saw was actually that of Yuji Itadori.

You couldn’t retrieve your last finger, could you? – Yuta

However, this week’s chapter finally confirmed that the finger did indeed belong to Sukuna. The finger that Yuta ate was actually that of Yuji, which is why Yuji was not using reverse cursed technique on his hand. Had he done that, Yuta’s copy of the Shrine would essentially have been erased, as was explained by him in the chapter.

While the situation might seem a bit hard for fans to follow, it was quite simple indeed. Sukuna’s last finger was in possession of the sorcerers. Yuta suggested eating the finger so that he could get access to his Shrine and utilize some incredibly powerful techniques. Gojo suggested otherwise, because he believed having a direct link to Sukuna would come in handy, at some point in the battle. Meanwhile, Gojo had another plan for Yuta to gain the Shrine. He asked him to consume Yuji’s finger, and because Yuji is like a cursed object drenched in Sukuna’s technique, having even the Shrine engraved in his body, this would work as well. Essentially, Yuji’s finger was consumed by Rika, which gave Yuta access to Sukuna’s Shrine.

Meanwhile, Sukuna’s finger was kept safe in order to maintain a link to his body. Finally, this mystery was cleared up in the chapter, and it opened up the room for the second act, which was quite easily the most exciting part of the entire chapter.

Yuji Dominates Vs Sukuna In An Exciting Battle Within His Domain

Yuji Overpowers Sukuna Within His Domain Thanks To Help

Upon figuring out that Yuji gave his finger to Yuta and that his own finger was somewhere else,Sukuna decided to engage him in close-range combat. The battle was rather even, but, with each passing minute, Yuji felt like he was starting to dominate much more. This is not much of a surprise, given that Yuji is inside his domain, and, there, his stats get a big boost, as explained by Gojo right at the beginning of the series. The ball is in Yuji’s court and it is likely going to continue that way in the upcoming chapters as well. Yuji unleashed a powerful barrage of punches on the king of curses, and even though he did receive some damage as well, he is determined to break Sukuna, especially after seeing Megumi Fushiguro fight back against him.

This is bad! At this rate, the brat’s sure hit technique will land! – Sukuna

Meanwhile, fans also got to see some cutbacks to the Shrine where Sukuna’s finger was hung. There, Gakuganji and Utahime were showcased, discussing the indestructible status of Sukuna’s finger. While the finger certainly is indestructible, it doesn’t mean that it can’t be used to transfer damage to the main body, especially with A Binding Vow. This is why Gojo wanted to keep a link to his real body hidden somewhere. This just goes to show how smart Gojo truly is and how he foresaw these events long before the battle in Shinjuku even began.

That is precisely where a mysterious individual was mentioned in the chapter by these two, stating that she had just woken up a short while ago, and had already joined the battlefield. On the next page, fans were delighted to see that a beloved character, Nobara, had finally returned.

Nobara’s Return And Another Black Flash

Nobara Kugisaki Joins The Battle Against Sukuna

JJK chapter 267finally saw the return of Nobara Kugisaki, much against all odds. Fans were not expecting her to return in the story at all, especially because it was announced that the series was wrapping up in five chapters rather recently. At this point, her return doesn’t serve much of a purpose for her own character, but, is there for show and to add more spice to the final battle against the King of Curses. Regardless, Nobara had to return, given how the story set up her death, and thankfully, this chapter sees her take action against the King of Curses. Moments after waking up from her long sleep, Nobara joined the battlefield and used her Straw Doll Technique, utilizing the power of Resonance to deal damage to Sukuna. Meanwhile, on the real battlefield, Sukuna was about to open his domain, which is when Nobara struck.

Essentially, he faced so much damage that he could not expand his domain anymore, which meant that Yuji’s sure-hit attack was going to land on him soon enough. At the same time, Yuji realized that Nobara was alive and well, because he recognized the technique that had dealt damage to the King of Curses. This pumped him up even more and allowed himto land a powerful Black Flashon the King of Curses, dealing deadly damage to him and, in the process, having him cough up some fingers as well.

Sukuna might have lost anywhere between one to three fingersin this chapter, which means that he is weakening tremendously and should be even weaker than he was in Shibuya. This essentially means that Yuji has every tool with him to wrap up this battle, and Megumi will start to fight back even more, which essentially confirms that this battle has all but wrapped up, and will likely conclude in JJK chapter 268.
