Summary
Jujutsu Kaisen’sShinjuku Showdown arc has been absolutely spectacular for the fans to witness and it is one that has given readers many incredible battles. Some of the strongest characters in the entire story have put their skills for sa how in this arc, and it is safe to say that they have surpassed all expectations.
Of course, most sorcerers have tested their skillsagainst the King of Curses, Sukuna, which means that most of them bit off more than they could chew and ended up facing the consequences.Jujutsu Kaisen’s last arc saw deaths, both on the side of the sorcerers and curse users.
5Kashimo
The Lightning God And An Ancient Sorcerer
One of the most uneventful and uninteresting deaths in the Shinjuku Showdowncame through the character of Kashimo. He was ecstatic to fight Sukuna, and he certainly did get his chance to test his skill against the King of Curses. When Kashimo fought against Sukuna, the battle was rather underwhelming. He was able to push back a very weak Sukuna until he was forced to reincarnate into his true form.
When that happened, Sukuna made quick work of him and sent a net of dismantle at him, which completely obliterated him. Kashimo was never seen in the story again or talked about, which just goes to show how inconsequential the character was.
4Gojo Satoru
The Strongest Modern Sorcerer Faced His Doom
The first and the biggest of all the deaths inJujutsu Kaisen’sShinjuku Showdown arc was that of Gojo. Gojo was unsealed moments before this Arc, and then, he went on to fight against Sukuna. This fight was incredibly ecstatic, and one that had kept fans on the edge of their seats. After a number of exciting chapters, Sukuna and Gojo’s battle concluded, and the result was Gojo’s death.
This was largely down to Sukuna having a major advantage thanks to the 10 Shadows Technique, and it certainly made all the difference, giving Sukuna a way to bypass Gojo’s Infinity and defeat him for good. Gojo has officially died, and this decision has been hard for the fans to accept even almost a year later.
3Higuruma (Potential)
The shining Next Generation Gem
Hiromi Higuruma was a character that fans were introduced to around the Culling Game, and he was one of the shining gems of this particular part of the story. Higuruma was a genius compared to Gojo Satoru, and if he survived, he would eventually reach similar levels.
He fought against Sukuna in this arc after the death of Gojo, and the King of Curses wasted no time giving him the praise that he deserved. He manifests incredible powers despite barely having access to a Cursed Technique.Higuruma was truly a force to be reckoned with. However, at the end of it all, he too was cut down by the world splitting dismantle in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. His death hasn’t explicitly been confirmed, but, the World Splitting Dismantle leaves behind no hope for recovery in most cases, and Higuruma is most likely dead.
2Choso
Yuji’s Brother Sacrificed His Own Life
Choso was one of the most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. In Yuji’s life, he was very important as well, especially because he was his brother who was there to take care of him. Choso was outclassed in the Shinjuku Showdown right from the beginning. Fans knew that he did not stand a chance against Sukuna, but, when his brother was fighting, he had to put his life on the line as well.
Choso showcased his tremendous strength in this arc and, unfortunately, he ended up losing his life in the battle against the King of Curses. Specifically, Choso ended up dying to protect Yuji. He maintained a strong barrier created by Blood Manipulation powers around Yuji and saved him from Sukuna’s Furnace technique. In the process, he was burnt to death, leaving Yuji in tears once again.
1Kenjaku
The Big Villain Met A Disappointing End
One of the biggest antagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen,Kenjaku also met his end in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. Fans know him to be a very powerful individual, and in many ways, even more exciting a villain than Sukuna. His death came when Yuta Okkotsu snuck up on him, likely thanks to Todo, and chopped his head right off. He was then stabbed right to the head to ensure that he did not switch bodies again, and in doing that, Yuta killed Kenjaku.
Kenjaku faced one of the most uninteresting deaths that fans have seen in not just Jujutsu Kaisen, but manga as a whole, when it comes to a major villain of a series. He did pass on his will to Sukuna, but, as things stand, this plotline won’t go anywhere at all.
