Jujutsu Kaisenis currently at the end of the most incredible battle in the entire series, where the King of Curses, Sukuna, is fighting against one sorcerer after another. Fans have seenthe likes of Gojo fight against himearlier, and after him, many others who tried to do what they could to put an end to his malicious plans. Eventually, it would, of course, fall to the protagonist of the series, Yuji Itadori, to end Sukuna and defeat him for good.
As things stand, the recent developments inJujutsu Kaisenhave all but confirmed that Megumi’s return is closer than ever before, and all this is going to be accomplished by none other than Yuji Itadori himself. After receiving the many power-ups that he has over the course of the last few months, Yuji has now peaked as he has tapped into an incredibly dangerous ability, domain expansion, which fans know to be the pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcery. Finally, it is time for Sukuna to acknowledge him, and with that, Megumi to return.
Yuji Vs Sukuna In The Domain Has Already Begun
JJKchapter 264 was absolutely essential in terms of painting the scene for the final battle of the series. Fans know that Yuji is going to be the one to take down Sukuna, and the stage for this clash has been set. Yuji tapped into his domain expansion for the very first time inJJKchapter 264, and this is an absolutely incredible development in this fight as well. For those wondering how Yuji was able to tap into a domain expansion out of nowhere, they simply need to look back at Yuji’s performancein the Shinjuku Showdown Arc.Slowly but steadily, he has continued to grow in this segment of the Arc, and Yuji has done tremendously well against the King of Curses. Not only has he awakened powers such as Reverse Cursed Technique and, but with that he has also gained two unique cursed techniques, Blood Manipulation, and the Shrine technique.
Domain Expansion! – Yuji Itadori
The awakening of blood manipulation gave him the power to utilize Convergence, and with that, Piercing Blood. At the same time, the awakening of the Shrine technique has given him access to Cleave and Dismantle, just like Sukuna, although the way his technique works is starkly different in comparison to how Sukuna utilizes this power. At the same time, fans know that the switch with Kusakabe allowed Yuji to manifest a simple domain, and he has already utilized this technique in the battle against Sukuna. These powers, put together, give Yuji a domain expansion, and the basis for it has always been there. It was only a matter of time before he whipped the skill out, and now, he is going to be tackling the King of Curses at his full power.
Yuji’s Soul Sure Hit Will Be Devastating For Ryomen Sukuna
Yuji Plans To Damage Sukuna’s Soul
Yuji Itadori is going to fight against Sukuna inside his domain. Towards the end of the previous chapter, he opened his domain and fans could see both Sukuna and Yuji inside of it. Fans didn’t actually get to see his domain, but a manifestation of some train station. Perhaps, this is Yuji’s domain and not some projection from within Sukuna’s own mind. Clearly, Yuji was present at the train station, and so was Sukuna, only this time, he was in Yuji’s body instead of Megumi’s. Fans don’t know what exactly he’s going to do here, but readers should definitely expect a clash between Yuji and Sukuna soon enough.
Release Fushiguro and return to my body, and I’ll spare you, Sukuna! – Yuji
Yuji will most likely utilize all his powers in the battle against Sukuna inside his domain, and given that it is his domain that is put on display here, he is going to be the one to defeat the King of Curses. It is time for Sukuna to fall, and this one-on-one, which might go on for a few chapters at the very least, as is expected if someone is capable as the King of Curses fights, is still going to end with his defeat.
Yuji will take the upper hand in the battle eventually and land his powerful Sure-Hit attack on Sukuna. This attack might be unknown at this time, but fans no that Yuji has the power to affect souls and whatever technique he ends up utilizing against the King of Curses, be it Cleave, or Dismantle, or just about any other technique that Yuji can throw at him, it is going to mark the end of the King of Curses in Megumi’s body.
Even if Sukuna is not permanently defeated with this technique, he will be ripped from Megumi’s body, which means that Megumi could potentially be saved right here and right now. From there onwards, this battle could take in another exciting turn, and fans absolutely can’t wait for that.
Megumi’s Return At The End Of The Shinjuku Showdown Arc
Megumi Fushiguro Can Only Be Saved By Yuji Itadori
Looking at the ongoing developments inJujutsu Kaisen, it is incredibly clear at this point that Megumi is going to wake up soon. Fans only need to wait for Yuji’s domain to finish its job and land this powerful blow on Sukuna which he clearly cannot sustain.Just a normal Dismantle attack landed on spacebetween Megumi and Sukuna’s soul from the inside was enough for him to throw up three fingers inJJKchapter 264. If he hits his ultimate sure-hit attack on this space between the souls, then, it goes without saying that he won’t be able to maintain his control over Megumi’s body, and for the very first time, Megumi will wake up. Once that happens, fans can then see this battle enter its final stage. This could go in two ways. Either Yuji can simply end Sukuna there and help him pass on to the afterlife, as is thematically sensible here at this point in the story, or, Sukuna could then trigger the merger moments before and then turn into some sort of absurd monstrosity.
If it’s the former, thenJJKwill essentially have markedthe conclusion of Shinjuku Showdown, and with that, fans can finally see the ending of the series edge closer as well over the course of the next month or two. If the second scenario comes to pass, then fans will most definitely see another battle against Sukuna, only this time, all of the sorcerers will unite to fight against him, including Megumi. Whichever way the author takes things, Megumi’s return is all but certain, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see him back in the story.
His character has been desperately missed inJujutsu Kaisen, and it only makes sense for him to get some attention before the manga wraps up officially as he has tremendous potential that is still unfulfilled and a massive fanbase as well.Megumi has to return sooner rather than laterfor things to make sense and, hopefully, this story treats him properly at the very end.
Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 265, is set to be July 16, 2025.
