Nobara’s Return In Jujutsu Kaisen Finally Happened In Chapter 267

Nobara Kugisaki finally woke up while Yuji Itadori was fighting against Sukuna. InJujutsu Kaisenchapter 267, fans found out that the last finger of the King of Curses was actually not consumed by Yuta at all, as was implied previously. In fact, Sukuna’s finger was in some Shrine, tied up by some threads. Meanwhile, the finger that Rika consumed to give Yuta access to the Shrine technique belongs to none other than Yuji itadori. This worked becauseYuji was drenched in Sukuna’s cursed techniqueand had the Shrine technique engraved in his body. Given that Sukuna and Yuji share the same technique, it became possible for Yuta to access Cleave and Dismantle as well, which is what made this power-up so exciting. Back when it was originally revealed, Yuta told Sukuna that he wasn’t able to retrieve the last finger and that he consumed it. Sukuna was led to believe that his finger was no longer around.

This is bad!! This is that girl’s cursed technique! I cannot use my domain! – Sukuna

However, clearly, this was a plan from the sorcerers. Sukuna’s real finger existed inside a Shrine, where it was tied up. Gojo wanted to keep this finger safe, because he felt like it was an advantage due to having a connection with the King of Curses.

Gojo’s prediction once again paid off, as, in JJK chapter 267, the connection that Sukuna’s finger shared with him allowed Nobara to deal deadly damage. Just moments after waking up, Nobara rejoined the battle, and she started dealing damage to the King of Curses. Using her technique Resonance, she was able to strike a powerful cursed energy infused nail directly at the finger, transferring the damage to Sukuna’s soul. Now, Sukuna is even weaker than ever before, and Nobara is back, which means that she’s going to continue dealing deadly damage to the King of Curses in the upcoming few chapters of the story.

The Current State Of Gojo Satoru And Yuta Okkotsu

Gojo And Yuta Are Both Interconnected At The Moment In JJK

Coming over to Gojo, fans have wanted him to return for quite a while, and this is especially true because Gojo is incredibly popular. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he’s the most popular character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and the face of the entire series. Furthermore, Gojo’s death was not handled properly, which left a sour taste in the mouths of the fans. There are many plot points surrounding this character that still need to be resolved before the series wraps up, and that is one of the many reasons why fans want him to return. However, with just four chapters to go, fans don’t know if Gojo will ever return or not.

Farewell, Gojo Satoru! I shall never forget you for as long as I live! – Sukuna

Many fans seem to believe that with the return of Nobara, Gojo’s death is now confirmed, because bringing back every dead character at the end of the series doesn’t bode well for a story like Jujutsu Kaisen.

Of course, there is a certain level of truth to it, but, at the same time, fans absolutely cannot deny the fact that Gojo is still around with Yuta inside his body. His chopped-up body was stitched back, and now, Yuta is occupying his body, which likely is not going to last long because Yuta’s technique has burned up as well.

Things are going to be incredibly exciting from here onwards, because Yuta and Gojo both have their futures hanging in balance. While Gojo has officially been labeled as dead, fans are simply not ready to give up on the idea of his return. Meanwhile, Yuta is still clinging to life, but his body andconnection with Rika has already been severed, and he simply cannot do anything, unless someone or something allows his soul to go back to his own body. Yet, there is still a possibility for the return of both of these characters at the end.

What Nobara’s Return Means For Gojo Satoru’s Death

Gojo Satoru Could Replace A Character From The Main Trio

Fans know that the author ofJujutsu Kaisenmentioned in 2019 Jump Festa that at the end of the series, he plans to go with two scenarios. Out of the four main characters, which are Yuji, Megumi, Gojo, and Nobara, he would either kill one character and leave three alive, or, kill three characters and leave just one alive. Both of these scenarios are interesting. In the first scenario, he mentioned killing one character and leaving three behind. This would essentially mean that Gojo would remain dead, while Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara would stay alive at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen. In regards to the next generation taking up the mantle from Gojo, this would be very fitting.

In regards to the second possibility, Gege mentioned killing three characters and leaving one behind. This scenario has already been written off, because Nobara is back, and fans know that at the very least, one of either Megumi or Yuji will end up surviving. As such, fans know that at the end of JJK, only three characters will live and one will die from the main group. Of course, the idea of the one being Gojo makes the most sense. However, the idea seems way too straightforward for Gege to actually go through with it. There could be something else written by the author here, and one possibility that could excite the fans a lot more.

Instead of Gojo’s not returning, fans also need to consider the possibility of the one actually dying to be none other than Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the series. At the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji could potentially die with Sukuna, breaking the curse forever and that could be how he ends the King of Curses, given that he has his cursed energy inside his body. Yuji could have Sukuna somehow return to his body, as he claimed earlier, and then sacrifice himself to save everyone. If Yuji does die to save Megumi and just about everyone else, then the possibility of the third character returning arises, and, in that case, the strongest, Gojo, could return, based on the author’s own words.

Yuji dying at the end ofJJKmakes a lot of sense. This character has been set up to die on many occasions. His own grandfather told him to be surrounded by the people he loves when he dies. Later down the line,Yuji himself died once, and he has since then known that one day, his death would come and he wants to help as many people as he can before that happens.

As such, Yuji Itadori falling at the end ofJJKmakes a lot of sense. Then, there arises the question of how Gojo could return. This shouldn’t be too difficult for the fans to understand. Simply put, Gojo could return now because his body is completely intact, andYuta even utilized Reverse Cursed Techniqueto heal it fully. Gojo’s body is completely back, and his soul might still be somewhere lingering inside. This is similar to how fans Geto was inside his own body responding to Gojo’s words in Shibuya. Similarly, Yuki spoke to Geto once as well, recognizing his presence inside the body when Kenjaku was in control.
