It was recently announced thatJujutsu Kaisenis going to meet its end soon, and the author has confirmed that the story will not continue into 2025 at any cost. It has also been revealed thatJujutsu Kaisenis at its climax right now, which means that the major fights of the Shinjuku Showdown arc are now going to wrap up.
Yuji’s battle against Sukuna Inside his domainis heating up, and the result of this battle is likely going to be revealed soon enough. Given that he’s up against the King of Curses, the battle can go either way. Either Yuji will defeat the King of Curses with a resounding victory, or, he’s going to lose his life in the process, and the possibility for the latter idea is quite high.

Jujutsu Kaisenis a series that doesn’t shy away from killing its main characters. Be it a death that serves the purpose or just a death that is in the story for shock value, the author simply loves to kill his characters. In fact, the author recently stated that he loves to kill the characters that the fans adore, because that would garner more of a reaction and have a bigger impact in the grand scheme of things. Characters who don’t really get a reaction from the fans are better left alive. It can be said that there are many pointless deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen, and at the same time, there are ones that have helped drive the plot forward as well. In either case, the constant is that character deaths happenand Shinjuku Showdown has already seen quite a lot of characters die in this story.

Jujutsu Kaisen could very well see the death of many major characters in the Final Saga, and the lives of some of them are currently hanging in the balance. Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the series himself, is one character who could very well die in the story, and this is something that fans shouldn’t be surprised by at all. In the Shinjuku showdown arc itself,Jujutsu Kaisen has killed off Gojo, the face of the entire series, and the most popular character. At the same time, other individuals, such as Choso have also died in this Saga.
Fans have also seen the likes of Yuta falling on the battlefield, fighting against death at the moment, while the likes of Higuruma were cut down as well. Clearly, there have been many deaths in this particular saga from the side of the sorcerers, and it’s highly likely that more will be added to the list once the Final arc settles down.

When it comes to the main group of the story, fans have already seen the death of two out of the four characters. The main characters inJujutsu Kaisenconsist of Yuji Itadori, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo. These characters are crucial to the plot being driven forward, and out of them, two have already died. In the Shibuya arc, Nobara met her end. While her death was extremely massive, it didn’t really affect the plot much and it can be said that it was a death that could easily have been avoided, and was just carried out by the author for the sake of it, which is why most fans are not happy with this decision at all.

Gojo died in the final arc, where he fought against Sukuna. Once again, his death is something that not many fans liked, especially because the manner it was pulled off was way too forced. Now, only Megumi and Yuji are alive, and, curiously enough, Gege has already painted scenarios for his main cast to live or die at the end of the series, and he has spoken about this in the past.
In Jump Festa 2019, Gege Akutami revealed two possibilities for his characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. The first possibility was that only one character out of his main cast lives, and all the other three die. If this possibility is true, then, fans can say that there is a strong chance for Yuji to die. The entirety of this arc has been focused on saving Megumi, and Yuji will most likely see this mission to its end. This means that Yuji could potentially lose his life in trying to defeat Sukuna, and, in doing that, save Megumi’s life. This would mean Yuji, Gojo, and Nobara will all have died, leaving behind Megumi as the sole survivor of the group, and the one to carry on and inherit their wills.
The second possibility is that only one character dies, and three survive. This is also something that could very well happen at the end ofJujutsu Kaisen. In this possibility, fans know that anything could happen. Two characters out of the four are already dead, which means this possibility doesn’t seem all that likely, unless one of them is brought back. Megumi will most likely survive, as will Yuji, in this specific possibility. Either Nobara or Gojo could be brought back to life by the author, and there is a strong chance for either to return. Goja’s body has been stitched back, and he could potentially return later down the line. Meanwhile, it is also possible that Nobara was able to live and will return later down the line. It could also be possible that both Gojo and Nobara return,and Megumi survives, while Yuji ends up dying.
Clearly, the possibilities are endless, and all fans need to take from this message is that killing Yuji off for Gege isn’t off-limits. He will go to any length to ensure that the story is as unpredictable as possible, and killing off his main character would be one hell of a way to do that.

The answer to whether Yuji Itadori will survive come the end ofJujutsu Kaisenor not is unclear right now. What fans need to keep in mind is that there isa very strong possibility for Yujito die. This is especially true for the first possibility, which seems likelier of the two. If Gege has not changed his plans, then, one out of Megumi and Yuji will die, and given that everything in this arc has been focused on saving Megumi, Yuji is likely the one who’s going to face death. Fans can only hope that the second possibility ends up being the real outcome of the story, but, anything could happen, and Yuji could very well meet his glorious end with Sukuna, after successfully taking him down.
