Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Receives 19+ Age Rating in South Korea

While that remains a possibility, major delays appear less likely now thatKingdom Come: Deliverance 2has received an age classification from South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC). As first spotted by Reddit user ReFlectioH, GRAC attached a 19+ rating to the upcoming RPG on August 1, whereas the application itself was submitted to the regulator on July 25. While Warhorse Studios' sister company, Deep Silver, is set to publish the game, its GRAC classification was requested by Bada Games, a South Korean localization and marketing agency. This would suggest that theKingdom Come: Deliverancesequelwill be localized in Korean, much like the original game was.

Farkle Dice Game Possibly Returning in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The 19+ rating is the most mature classification that GRAC can issue prior to refusing to rate a game. Elaborating on its decision, the South Korean agency said that the upcoming RPG earned this label for its depictions of excessive violence, sexual acts, profanity, and drug and alcohol use. The rating alsoconfirms oneKingdom Come: Deliverance 2featurein the form of gambling. Specifically, dice games will be part of the package, with Henry being able to wager his hard-earned money on them, the classification reads. While the regulator doesn’t go into any more detail, the most likely explanation for this tidbit is thatKingdom Come: Deliverance 2will retain the Farkle dice game from its predecessor.

The emergence of this rating confirms that Deep Silver has already started doing the legal legwork for releasingKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which suggests that major delays are unlikely to happen at this point. That notwithstanding, the fact that the RPG is still without a precise release date as of August 2024 indicates that it might end up slipping into early 2025.

Deep Silver will presumably want to avoid that scenario at all costs, as the holiday season is traditionally by far the most lucrative time of the year for game publishers. Aside from PC,Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2is also coming to the Xbox Series X/Sand PlayStation 5.
