The fact that this encouraging update is coming from Sony rather than Konami is a bit unusual, but not entirely unprecedented. After all, the PlayStation maker was also the one whonarrowed down theMGS Delta: Snake Eaterrelease window to 2024, which happened back in January.
If its release date is indeed going to be revealed in the next four months, thenMGS Delta: Snake Eatercould still hit its previously stated launch window. As for when the announcement could happen, the next obvious opportunity for it is Tokyo Game Show 2024, which Konami has already confirmed to be attending. While TGS 2024 is scheduled to start on September 26, its exhibitors historically hold press conferences detailing their trade show lineups a day ahead of the convention itself.
Of course, sinceMGS Delta: Snake Eaterwas announced during the latest PlayStation Showcase, there’s always a chance for its release date to also be revealed at one such event. But seeing howSony already confirmed plans to attend the 2024 edition of Tokyo Game Show, it is unlikely that the company is planning a dedicated product showcase before the convention.
