A creativeMinecraftplayer has made a datapack that adds a new weapon to the game that effectively turns players into Thor. TheMinecraftcommunity often comes up with impressive new ideas, or ones that expand on existing concepts, giving a new spice to the experience of playing Mojang’s sandbox.

There’s no shortage of examples of creative projects thatadd new weapons toMinecraft, such as katanas, daggers, and glaives. Some mods have given the game a chaotic spin by adding destructive weapons like flamethrowers and earthquake makers, or adding more utility with new backpacks, gadgets, and a new enchantment for one of the game’s weapons. Reddit user ctkrocks created a datapack that adds toMinecrafta new weapon called copper mace.Using a heavy coreand a lightning rod, players can craft the item which, if held during a thunderstorm, has a chance of becoming charged. With this, the heavy core will light up to indicate the copper mace’s charged state, in which each charge has four lightning strikes. A lightning strike will cause damage to the mob it hits, while the surrounding mobs will be struck by lightning. For players who want to install the datapack, it’s available for freedownload on GitHub.

New Minecraft Datapack Adds Weapon That is Like Thor’s Hammer

The mace, the base of the item created by OP, is one of the most notable additions toMinecraftthis year, giving players a powerful weapon option for their adventures. To craft a mace, players need a heavy core, a mysterious item found only in ominous vaults, and a breeze rod, which drops from the hostile Breeze mob. With the mace in hand, it’s possible to negate fall damage by successfully hitting enemies, and its potential can be increased even further byadding some ofMinecraft’s enchantments.

While theMinecraftcommunity never tires of creating exciting new features for the game, Mojang also keeps working to bring new content through official updates. Recently, the devs released aMinecraftsnapshot that brought the bundle back, giving players an additional way to store their items. The bundle had previously been tested in 2020, but the idea didn’t go ahead, and the item never officially made it intoMinecraftuntil now.
