Alternatively, you may use an Enchanted Book to apply the enchantment to your mace, but these books are rare and may not always have the Density Enchantment. You can find Enchanted Books by opening Ominous Vaults with the Ominous Trial Key. Not all vaults contain these books, so you may need to try many times. How to Use the Density Enchantment in Minecraft

The Density Enchantment is one of the few enchantments that can be applied to a mace, and it significantly increases the damage dealt by a mace per block. There are five levels of the Density Enchantment, and each level increases the damage dealt by 0.5.For example, Density I deals 0.5 damage, while Density V deals 2.5 damage per block.

All melee weapons in general, but maces in particular, deal more damage when you jump from a height to smash someone. The damage increases for each block fallen if the mace is enchanted with Density. For example, jumping from a height of 10 blocks with a Density V enchanted mace would deal an extra 250 damage, plus the mace’s basic damage.

The Density Enchantment cannot be used with Breach, Smite, or Bane of Arthropods enchantments.
