Summary

With a little tweaking, aMinecraftplayer has recreated the Tormentor fromDestiny 2in the game. Every day, theMinecraftcommunity shows off its creativity with creative, curious, and elaborate projects. These projects can be recreations of their favorite locations from other games and real-life places, or a range of new features added to the game.

The Tormentors were first introduced inDestiny 2: Lightfall, and are among the most difficult enemies in the game. These powerful, robust, and vaguely humanoid creatures created by the Witness hit hard, as they’re fast and can close the distance instantly. Battling a Tormentor is a two-stage fight, as players must first destroy its initial weak points before the weak point moves and they can defeat it for good, though the back half of the fight is marked by even more dangerous attacks. With the Tormentor being such a notable enemy inDestiny 2, it makes sense that oneMinecraftplayer decided to make their own version of it in Mojang’s game.

Reddit user tinyrottedpig created a fully functionalDestiny 2Tormentoron theirMinecraftserver. The video, shared with theDestiny 2community, shows the Tormentor jumping and launching a wave of attacks with its scythe, sometimes grabbing the player and throwing them away. According to them, the Tormentor was created using several plugins that converted a customized model into a Resource Pack. As a result, players who access theirMinecraftserver will find the Tormentor and a semi-faithful recreation ofDestiny 2’s Red War locations, which has over 180 pieces of equipment to collect, as well as functional weapons.

Creative Minecraft Player Reproduces Iconic Destiny 2 Enemy in Game

While Mod Packs are the most popular way forMinecraftplayers to add new features to the game, there are other ways to spice up gameplay, such as using Resource Packs. Formerly known as Texture Packs,Minecraftplayers use Resource Packsto add resources to the game without having to know how to program. In the case of the OP’sDestiny 2server, by using Resource Packs instead of Mod Packs, they allow players to join the server easily, without needing any additional downloads.

Tinyrottedpig’s recreation ofDestiny 2’s Tormentor is impressive, but curiously, this isn’t the first time the player has gone viral with their projects. The player previously made headlines by sharing theprogress of theirDestiny 2server inMinecraft. This also isn’t the first time players have brought Bungie’s shooter toMinecraft, with previous projects including a complete recreation ofDestiny 2, and locations such as Savathun’s Throne World and the Last Wish raid.
