Summary
SomeMinecraftplayers have utilized a recent change in the Snapshot build to create incredible Minecart rollercoasters. Mojang has adjusted theMinecraftMinecart a few times over the years, but these players may be having the most fun with the latest Snapshot iteration.
The Minecart has been a helpfulMinecraftitem since before the game was officially released. The Minecart has also received variations since then, with one including a Chest, another with a Furnace, and a TNT version added later. These have allowed players to transport carts with a full inventory, carts that are cooking resources, or carts meant to explode from one point of aMinecraftSeedto another. Because the Minecart has long provided helpful utility, many fans have rails that allow quick transport between their bases. The latest Snapshot build has significantly changed Minecarts, making them more versatile. As a result, many gamers are creating unique rollercoaster designs for their Minecarts.
Reddit users MemeBoiCrep and Lets_get_sleepy are among theMinecraftSnapshotplayers sharing their Minecart rollercoaster designs. MemeBoiCrep starts their Minecart rollercoaster with the press of a button which then propels their cart up a hill to a winding rail track which leads to a drop. The cart stops for a moment before being sent flying through the air onto another set of tracks multiple times. One set of tracks increases their speed exponentially before firing them onto another rail line. Lets_get_sleepy’s clip begins with the player at the top of a big rollercoaster-style drop before going up and down multiple inclines. Beyond featuring jump gaps for the Minecart, this Reddit user also incorporated a water tower into their design.
These Minecraft Snapshot Players Created Minecart Rollercoasters
Before the latestMinecraftSnapshot changes, Minecarts would stop with the absence of a track, and sometimes they’d be sent back to where they came from. The latest build allows players to send Minecarts flying over multiple blocks depending on how fast they’re going. In effect, this allows the Minecart to be akin to the carts in theDonkey Kong Countryseries, which often have to jump from one set of tracks to another. Because of this adjustment, gamers are already experimenting with designs that weren’t possible before. While it wasn’t included intheMinecraftTricky Trials update, this Minecart adjustment may be added in a future patch.
As this change to Minecarts is only available in the Snapshot build of the game, it’s unclear if it will make the cut into the live Bedrock or Java clients. With Mojang continuing to updateall versions ofMinecraft, this may not be the last major adjustment to Minecarts.
