Summary
With some creativity, aMinecraftplayer has uncovered a way to throw themselves incredibly high. Their experiment was possible by creating a contraption with features introduced byMinecraftupdate 1.21, which is finally available to all players.
This month, Mojang released themajorMinecraftupdate called Tricky Trials, the main highlight of which is the introduction of new structures called Trial Chambers, hence the update name. The update also introduced miscellaneous features related to “tinkering,” like new copper and tuff blocks, and the autocrafter, allowing players to exercise their creativity in new ways. For the more adventurousMinecraftplayers, the Tricky Trials update brought the new hostile mobs, Bogged and Breeze. TheMinecraftcommunity was eagerly awaiting the Tricky Trials update, and one player has shared a clever way to put its features to use.
Reddit user Cleinden launched themselves into space using a simple build and resources from the newMinecraftupdate. The player shared a video showing their experiment, in which they crammed a lot of chickens into a small space. Then, they throw a Splash Potion of Wind Charge, one ofMinecraft’s potions players can craft. They place a piston under the chickens, which is connected to a simple redstone circuit. When the piston is activated, the player is propelled so high that they end up in space.
Minecraft Player “Travels” Into Space With Creative Idea
With the release ofMinecraftupdate 1.21, Mojang introduced several items, such as the Splash Potion of Wind Charge. With this potion,Minecraftplayers cause the Wind Charged status effect, which makes an entity (mob) release a burst of wind upon death. By activating the piston and killing many chickens with the Wind Charged status in a limited space, they created an explosion with enough force that, according to the OP, made them reach 10,000 blocks high. While the player did the test in Creative, a Redditor said in the comments that they repeated the experiment in Survival, and it also worked there.
The Splash Potion of Wind Charge isn’t the only addition inMinecraftupdate 1.21 that lets players play around with knockback effects. Mojang has introduced players to the Wind Charge, a new projectile crafted from the Breeze Rod, an item that drops from Breezes. When throwing a Wind Charge,Minecraftplayers cause a knockback effect on the mob’s hit.Minecraftplayers can use the Wind Charge in parkourand, when combined with the new Mace weapon, defeat powerful mobs with just one hit.
