AsModern Warfare 3continues to receive new seasonal content, fans often find it difficult to keep up with what maps are being weighted more in the game’s multiplayer rotation. However, one eagle-eyed user on theModern Warfare 3subreddit has pointed out that one classic map seems to no longer be in most of the game’s playlists. Reddit user Demon5572 has alerted fans to the disappearance of Estate, an extremely popular map that first appeared in 2009’sModern Warfare 2, as fans say they are sick of the newer reskins and want the classics to make a return.

Modern Warfare 3 Fans Frustrated as Estate Removed From Rotation

Initially, the Reddit user stated that Estate had been completely removed fromModern Warfare 3’s map rotation, but further investigation by other users found that the map still exists in Search and Destroy and Cutthroat. Thankfully, it’s easy enough to see which maps are in rotation as fans can simply select the information button on any given playlist to see which maps are included.

Activision might be hard at workbanning thousands ofModern Warfare 3cheaters, but players want answers as to why Estate is barely in the game’s map rotation anymore. In response to Demon5572’s post, Reddit user RyuzakiL117 explained that they don’t like when maps are removed from the game’s rotation. They went on to explain that they believe all maps should be weighted equally, including the classic maps, such as Estate, as they were one of the main selling points forModern Warfare 3. As for Reddit user Storvox, they say they’re “sick” of playing re-skinned versions of the same map over and over again.

Season 5 ofModern Warfare 3didn’t just include a WWE crossover, but also saw various multiplayer maps such as Rust, Shipment, and Stash House receive cel-shaded variants. While these new versions remained identical in terms of layout, the overall aesthetic was more reminiscent of something fromBorderlands.Though it seems clear that fans don’t want to keep receiving reskins of the same few maps, they also want to see classic maps like Estate appear more often.
