How To Play Mordred In Smite 2

There aremany candidates for which Gods could come toSmite 2, and Mordred made the cut. Mordred utilizes bothStrength and Intelligence, slightly favoring Strength more. Mordred will be getting right up in enemies' faces with a melee-focused playstyle, meaning players will need to watch out for Gods that favor range combat. Fans will have access to damage abilities that can hit in a cone, an AoE surrounding Mordred, and straight lines. As players deal damage, they will build up wrath toward their ultimate ability.

When players activate their ultimate, Pursue the Weak, they will be able to see through the terrain as well as move through walls before dealing out massive damage. This can let him surprise enemies to push an offensive or shut down an opponent that is going on the offensive. Overall, this will give those who use Mordred some great mobility and burst damage options. Mordred is one of the new Gods for players to enjoy afterclaiming all their Legacy Gemsfrom the ones they played in the originalSmite.

Mordred Auto Builds In Smite 2

Once a match is ready to begin, players will select if they wish to use Manual Build or one of the pre-existing Auto Build options. Auto Builds are a great way for a character to develop in the exact way a player needs in order to accomplish a specific goal.

Bruiser

When a player wishes to take the Solo role for their team, they will want to avoid being glassy when going up against opponents. However, they cannot take too long to deal enough damage either. Bruiser offers a balance of both defense and offense for a versatile option that can adapt to what opponents bring into the match.

Basic Attack Warrior

This is a great option for the Jungle role, and if the player manages to secure said role before selecting this Auto Build, they can then take Sundering Arc as their Relic. Players will not only be hacking down monsters but will also have all the tools they need to pull off gank after gank.

Hybrid Bruiser

This option will have players playing very similar to the Bruiser option. However, it opts for being much more aggressive. It is a more complex option compared to Bruiser, making it something players should take after they are familiar with both Bruiser and Basic Attack Warrior first. This Auto Build is also perfect for the Arena game mode for players new to Mordred.

Full Tank

For players who want to keep playing Mordred, but already have teammates covering the roles of Jungle and Solo Lane, players can select to cover the Carry role. Then, once the match starts, they can select this Auto Build option. This build will give more healing potions and help to make Mordred Outlast whatever his opponents throw his way while backed up by support.

Mordred Manual Build In Smite 2

Mordred can be challenging to manually build due to being flexible enough to both Jungle andplay in a lane. New players are going to want to stick with playing and understanding each of the Auto Build options first. Once they have a good understanding of how to play, they should load up the Practice Mode and select Manual Build. This will let them get used to optimally opening up the store and buying what they need. There are a lot of options in the store, and spending too much time manually building can give the opponent team the time they need to push ahead.

Mordred should always take out some monsters in the Jungle, even when they are playing a lane, and this means giving them theSundering Arc Relicto quickly dispatch these targets — just be mindful of what your teammate with the Jungle role is up to. Players will also want to pick up Assassin’s Blessing at the start of a match, as well as ramp up damage output early. Mordred’s Bloodrage will increase his Attack Speed and his Movement Speed. This can be used both offensively and as a means to escape a potentially deadly situation.

Playing aggressively proves to be a strength of Mordred, making the offense a more worthwhile investment than the defense. Regardless of what role a player is using Mordred, his Pursue the Weak is an invaluable tool. It can be used to turn the tide of many situations, and can even let Mordred escape from a fatal encounter by running through a wall where his opponent cannot follow — only to circle back and finish off their attacker. This is something to factor in as early as possible.

Other than these important factors, players will be purchasing items from the store depending on the situation. Players using Manual Build have the advantage of changing and adapting their strategy to what is needed, and luckily, all Auto Build options can switch to Manual Build mid-match by simply opening and using the store to break their automated flow. Near the end of the match when the players' team is on the cusp of victory, they can sell whatever is no longer relevant and focus on pushing for endgame power to make Mordred a dive-bombing damage machine to push to end the game.

This Manual Build process has been compiledusing the Closed Alpha stage ofSmite 2. Should the character of Mordred be reworked, or any other means that would make it no longer relevant to the current form of the game, this section may undergo a rewrite to keep its information factually accurate and helpful to readers.
