Summary

This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia Chapter 430.

My Hero Academiahas ended recently, and the conclusion of this exciting story has raised many questions in the minds of the fans, which doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone, because a story as rich as My Hero Academia is almost impossible to conclude with every single loose end tied. While Horikoshi certainly did write a very satisfying ending, there were still many loose ends, and fans wanted to see more of them being tied up, as well as more Heroes being put on display in the final segment of the story. Bakugo, one of the most important characters, is one such individual that fans wanted to see more of.

When it comes to Bakugo’s character, he’s defined by two things. His personal growth in terms of his attitude, which is directly related to his mistreatment of Deku, and at the same time, his thirst for strength, which he desperately wants in order to keep up with Deku, and surpass All Might. At the end ofMy Hero Academia, Bakugo certainly was incredibly powerful.

Bakugo’s Quirk Awakening In The Final War Arc Of My Hero Academia

At one point in My Hero Academia, it was as if Bakugo was left behind by Deku by quite a margin. In fact, once Deku got One For All, many fans believed that he was unstoppable. Deku truly was in a league of his own, but Bakugo’s level of strength was nothing to scoff at. Fans knew that in one way or another, Horikoshi would make him keep up with Deku, because such is the rivalry between these two characters. That is precisely what happened in the Final War Saga, where Bakugo showcased his incredible might. He was able to keep up with some of the most dangerous villains in the entire story, and even fight against Shigaraki, overwhelming him in certain instances.

For some reason, I feel I can overtake you (Izuku) now! – Bakugo

While he was below Shigaraki, after he underwent Quirk Awakening, he had brief moments where he absolutely shocked even Tenko. This is precisely where he was struck down, and he could not showcase his full power properly. It looked as if Bakugo would never be able to showcase his full potential in the story, but, later down the line, this was mended by the author. When Bakugo woke up once again, he saved All Might from certain death, and then turned his eyes towards All For One, who, at this point, was almost unstoppable.

It must be remembered that by this point in the story, Bakugo was incredibly bruised and tattered. He had pain in every single cell of his body, and he was advised to not even move, let alone fight. However, his determination was such that he went head-to-head with All For One.Bakugo showcased the true power of his Quirk Awakening, and with the power of his Explosion, he left All For One in the dust.

Clearly, with the power of Awakening, Bakugo was able to use Cluster, which allowed him to produce much stronger and rapid explosions, giving him a major advantage in just about every battle. He was essentially unstoppable here, and against All For One, his performance was clear for the fans to see as proof. In fact, he even stated that he felt as if not even Izuku could match up to him in this form, and that is quite a statement. He was able to stop All For One and utterly decimate him, something that most Heroes who were around him could not achieve. This was a massive achievement for him, and the heroes in general.

Bakugo’s Growth Over The 8-Year Timeskip In MHA

Bakugo Grew Even Stronger In My Hero Academia Over The Years

It took Bakugo quite some time to get back to his full strength after the conclusion of the war. He had to go through rehabilitation, and within a few months, he was back to his best. However, this once again goes to show that whenBakugo fought and defeated All For One, he was far from his best.

It only highlights his strength even more, and points out that if he was at the pinnacle of his powers, All For One would have been dealt with with much less effort. Furthermore, fans also know that My Hero Academia underwent an 8-year timeskip towards the end. During this timeskip, Bakugo had achieved tremendous strength and fame among the general public.

Clearly, these eight years would have been enough for him to establish himself as a top Pro Hero in the country. At the same time, while he had a huge amount of fans, he was not too fond of them, as was seen in the final chapter of the story. It is believed that Bakugo and Shoto are around the same rank, at the end of the story, but, Shoto was projected to surpass him simply because he has a better nature and he doesn’t push fans back. In terms of strength, however, Bakugo and Shoto should be evenly matched. If their previous battle is anything to go by, then, fans should know that Bakugo could potentially topple even Shoto, which is an astonishing feat for anyone.

All in all, 8 years is a significant period of time, and for Bakugo, this must have been enough to see him get close to the levels of prime All Might and surpass his own best from many years ago.

Bakugo’s Hero Rank And Strength At The End Of MHA

Bakugo Should Be Among The Top 5 Heroes At The End Of My Hero Academia

At the end ofMy Hero Academia, it is believed that Bakugo is in the Top Five Heroes in the country, but he doesn’t claim the first spot. The first spot goes tonone other than Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion. Mirio is likely followed by the likes of Kamui Woods and Mount Lady. Then, it is implied that Bakugo and Shoto are next. He is in the top five in the country, given that he is still newer compared to many others. At the same time, it must also be noted that the average level of Heroes has gone up significantly. Now, Heroes are much stronger than they used to be in general, which makes it harder for individuals like Bakugo and Shoto to claim the first spot. Regardless, what fans know for a fact is that Bakugo is a monstrously powerful individual and a force to be reckoned with.

At the end of the series, Bakugo should easily be among the strongest characters in the entire story. If he was able to defeat All For Oneback in the Final War, albeit with help from everyone else, then by the time of the end of the story, Bakugo should be able to stand up to All For One all by himself. His level shouldn’t be too far from prime All Might and prime Deku, and that much is a given. He has to be in the conversation for being the strongest character in the entirety of My Hero Academia, as his character is that important, and his powers are on a very high level.

My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp. The release date for the final chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 430, was June 23, 2025.
