Summary
This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia chapter 430.
My Hero Academiaended recently, and it is safe to say that this chapter was one of the most emotional ones that fans got to witness in the story. Of course,My Hero Academiadidn’t have the perfect end that many fans would have wanted and it is often quite difficult for stories to end on the perfect note.
Regardless, what fans know is thatMy Hero Academiais an incredibly brilliant story and one that they will remember for generations to come. The protagonist of the series, Izuku Midoriya, is going to continue being a Hero right until the very end, even after losing his Quirk. In fact, as a Hero, his end-of-series strength is a very intriguing talking point among the fans because he recently seemed to get a major power-up.
Deku Without His Quirk At The End Of My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia’sfinal war ended with Izuku Midoriya losing his Quirk. This was surprising to many fans because they expected him to maintain this power until the very end. This is especially because Izuku earned his power, and he put everything into making it his own. From training his body relentlessly to suffering grievous injuries, Izuku did it all. Yet, unfortunately, it was not to be. In the final battle against Shigaraki, he ended up giving up his Quirk and it was officially lost forever. Izuku still had the embers of the One For All inside of him for quite a while. In fact, fans expected him to hold this power in him until the very end, leaving the future of the story ambiguous. However,My Hero Academiachapter 430 confirmed that it was not to be.
Goodbye, One For All! – Izuku Midoriya
Deku officially lost the power of One For All completely when the embers were confirmed to have burnt out. By the time he graduated, the embers were gone forever, andIzuku was Quirkless once again. This was quite sad for the fans, especially the ones who wanted him to continue being a Hero.
This meant that he could not be a Hero again, and that his future was different from that of his friends. It also meant that Izuku was isolated quite a bit from everyone else and this was certainly not a good ending for him, unfortunate as that may be. However, the author of the series decided to give him a major power-up that flipped his ending on its head. All Might was the one who gifted him an armor suit, and with it, Izuku can now soar the skies once again.
Deku’s New Suit And Its Powers
At the end of My Hero Academia, Izuku Midoriya got a major power up. Fans expected him to stay Quirkless after it was confirmed that his embers had gone out. However, the author had something else planned for him. Even though he served for 8 years as a teacher in the UA, and his Hero days were officially behind him, the author wanted him to return to doing what he did best, and that was saving people. It was thanks to all the friends that he made during his time in UA, and at the same time, the connection that he had with All Might, that ended up saving him. Essentially,All Might has friends in the US, which fans know to be Dave and Melissa, and they clubbed together with Hatsune and created an incredible suit that is far more advanced than anything that the fans have ever seen before. At the same time, fans also know that the one who funded this incredible suit, which Izuku mentions must have cost a fortune, was Bakugo. Of course, the other students contributed as well, but Bakugo was at the heart of it.
You have earned this power, just like the last one, young Midoriya! – All Might
With all the prerequisites being met, all they had to do was craft this incredible suit and that is exactly what happened. It must certainly have taken them quite a lot of time to craft the suit, but, by the end of My Hero Academia, it was officially ready.
On the last page of My Hero Academia chapter 430, fans got to see Izuku soaring through the skies once again, wearing this incredible suit. Fans could clearly see gauntlets on his hand and armor across his chest. He also had a cape flowing across his neck, and this just went to show that Izuku was back to his best.
As far as the abilities of this suit go, fans didn’t actually get to see it in action. However, All Might mentioned that he was the one who managed utilizing multiple Quirks possible. Because of that, it can be inferred that Izuku’s powers were incorporated into this mechanical suit.
How Strong Is Deku At The End Of My Hero Academia?
Izuku Is Up There Competing With The Strongest
At the end ofMy Hero Academia,Deku is certainly on an entirely different level of strength. It can be said that his level of strength will be somewhat similar to his original power at the end of the war. Of course, Izuku would never have the power of One For All again, but in essence, One For All is a simple ability to replicate. It just gives one extreme physical strength, which science can emulate. This is even more true than ever before now, because fans know that science has advanced greatly over the 8-year timeskip in the story.
Essentially, it goes without saying that Izuku Midoriya can likely reproduce the same level of strength that he previously had. This is also very important for the narrative. Izuku is going to be fighting alongside the likes of Bakugo, because otherwise, he is not going to be special in any way. For the protagonist of the series to be among the weakest Heroes does not make sense at all. If Izuku is two competing with Bakugo, Shoto and Mirio, he needs to be relative to them in terms of power. That is precisely why the author must make Izuku as strong as they are, and give his mechanical suit incredible capabilities. Powers like Blackwhip should be incorporated into his suit, as should the likes of Danger Sense, Smoke Screen, Float, and many other abilities that he possessed once.
With these abilities put together, combined with the raw physical strength that the mechanical copy of One For All should give him, Izuku should be as strong as the other Heroes, if not superior. Ultimately, his goal should still be to become the greatest hero of all time, which means that he would go head-to-head with Mirio, the Top Hero in Japan right now.Besting Mirio might not be easy, but it is something that he might be able to accomplish at some point later in the future. Although nothing is confirmed, My Hero Academia might get a sequel later down the line in the form of a one-shot or a movie. When that happens, fans will most definitely get to see another glimpse of Deku using his new powers.
My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp. The release date for the final chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 430, was July 21, 2025.
