The loss of Shigaraki haunted him forever, and at the same time, he alsoended up giving up his greatest power, the One For All.He started his journey as a Quirkless boy, and he ended it as a Quirkless boy once again, which meant that his story came full circle. Fans got to see quite a lot of exciting things in My Hero Academia chapter 430. For starters, the readers saw how things worked out for different characters during the years of the timeskip in a small montage of panels. There, fans saw things like Deku and his classmates studying for various tests, All Might helping Gran Torino to walk, characters like Mirko trying new weapons,Deku visiting his momonce again, and even the very graduation day of the students. This was a very emotional collection of panels that fans certainly took their time to go through, and it brought back a rush of memories from all those years that they witnessed this story.

Around the same time, fans saw a character named Dai introduced in the story. This young boy wants to become a Hero, just like All Might, Deku, Dynamight, and many other powerful Heroes. However, 8 years after the war, the world has moved forward so much that the rates of villains have dwindled greatly while Heroes have stabilized. This means that becoming a Hero is now much more difficult than ever before. As such, for young Dai, becoming a Hero is more difficult than ever before, especially with his Quirk of being able to produce plates from his hair. Among his classmates, he certainly isn’t one to shine, but he still wants to become a Hero. This isreminiscent of Midoriyaat the beginning of his journey in My Hero Academia. It would only make sense to have Dai meet with Izuku, and they certainly did when both of them went to All Might’s statue.

You can be a Hero. Do your best, kid! – Izuku to Dai

There, a young boy was seen tripping, and both Dai and Izuku reached out to him in a moment of desperation to save him. Izuku ended up saving him, but the fact that Dai actually rushed out to his rescue meant that his body moved on his own, and to Izuku, this was a reminder of his own self from long ago. Izuku imparted the message to him that he could become a Hero, too, inspiring the next generation in the process. Passing on wisdom was supposed to be his new life and the new norm; however, that is where Horikoshi pulled off a shocking moment.
