Summary

This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia Chapter 430.

My Hero Academiahas concluded recently and it is safe to say that the conclusion of the story has left fans with many unanswered questions. This isn’t much of a surprise to anyone, given that most series end on a similar note. In terms of whatMy Hero Academiaaccomplished, fans are grateful for a proper ending. But, among the many things that were left unresolved at the end of the story, the hero rankings are certainly up there and one of the biggest talking points among the fans.

Fans always knew the rankings to be one of the most exciting parts of My Hero Academia. Right at the beginning of the series,it was revealed that All Might was the Top Hero, and fans also got a lot of insight into other Heroes occupying the remaining spots. Later on, after All Might retired, the Hero positions were focused on once again. Now, with the end of My Hero Academia, it is clear for the fans to see that more attention needs to be paid to the hero positions, and while fans do not have elaborate rankings and explanations for their characters, the author certainly did put some clues in the store in which helps the readers figure out what they look like at the end of the story.

The New Top Hero In My Hero Academia Was Revealed To Be Mirio

Mirio Togata Successfully Became A Great Hero At The End Of The Story

At the end ofMy Hero Academia, most fans were expecting the author to reveal who the top hero was and who occupied the following positions. Unfortunately, fans did not get an elaborate ranking written by the author into his story. However, as mentioned earlier, the author certainly did put some bits of information in the story, and, when it comes to the top hero, he outright revealed who held the position. It was clearly stated in My Hero Academia that the number one position was occupiedby none other than Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion. Fans know him to be a very powerful hero, even during his U.A days. In fact, back in the day, he was the closest to All Might of any Heroes, including the Pro Heroes, which was an absolutely stunning statement. Fans got to see a glimpse of his strength in My Hero Academia in the Shie Hassaikai arc, and later on, in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, he sprung forth to the frontlines once again. In the Final War Saga, Mirio was incredibly active and his showing, although not the best, was impressive once again.

Ever since then, Mirio has strengthened himself even further, which means that right now, he’s fully worthy of the title of Top Hero. It must be remembered that over the 8-year timeskip, Mirio strengthened himself significantly. Every Hero has come far over this time period, and Mirio shouldn’t be an exception. He must have worked on his techniques incredibly hard, which means that he must be in an entirely different league right now. This is especially true for a hard worker like Mirio. Fans know that his Permeation quirk was a big problem for him growing up. This quirk caused him more problems than it offered advantages. However, through sheer hard work, he was able to turn it into an absolutely invincible Quirk. For a hard worker like him, 8 years is a significant period of time to strengthen himself even further, and fans should expect him to occupy the top spot for many years to come.

The Heroes Likely In The Top 5 Along With Mirio Togata

Mirio Isn’t The Only Bright Hero In The Country Right Now

Unfortunately, My Hero Academia’s hero rankings are very vague beyond confirming Mirio as the top hero. This is where the confusion seeps and fans are not really sure as to who occupies the position of the number two Hero, and so on. However, Horikoshi did put clues in the history, half-baked as they were, to imply who are the top five or top 10 Heroes.

Looking at How things are set up at this point in time, one can say, depending on what translation of the chapter they read, that,Kamui Woods and Mount Ladyare up there. These two Heroes might not be the strongest of all, at least not before the timeskip. However, it appears that 8 years after the timeskip, they have significantly strengthened themselves. It is also interesting to note that these two Heroes were considered to be rookies at the beginning of My Hero Academia. Now, however, they have become seasoned Heroes and filled in the holes left behind by those who ended up retiring.

Todoroki-kun will soon surpass Bakugo in the rankings. – Aizawa

Based on what has been said, the implication is that Kamui Woods and Mount Lady occupy positions among the top five, potentially Hero number two and three. Then, fans also know that there are other Heroes in My Hero Academia, who they are very familiar with, within the top five.

These are the likes of Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki. It is believed that Bakugo and Shoto are either neck and neck, or, Bakugo is ahead of Shoto at this point in time. However, Shoto is projected to surpass him soon enough in the hero rankings, because of his gentle demeanor and his incredible work ethic. These days, Shoto is hardly recognized as Endeavor’s son, which is absolutely brilliant for his character. This means that Bakugo and Shoto are likely in the 4th and 5thposition respectively, but, they will likely switch places soon enough.

It is also believed that Monoma is within the top Heroes as well and that he has been soaring through the Hero rankings as a flight. This doesn’t come as a surprise to any fan, especially knowing his Quirk and the utility that it has.

Where Will Iron Deku Fit In The Hero Rankings?

The most surprising individual when it comes to the hero rankings isthe protagonist of the series, Deku. Fans know for a fact that Deku got a new battle suit at the end of the series. He wore this battle suit on the very last page, and with that, became a hero once again. In the coming months and years, Deku will climb the hero rankings at a blazing-fast speed. However, without a Quirk, the question remains as to how strong he truly is.

However, when one looks at the performance of Armored All Might against All For One in his prime, one can come to the conclusion that Deku truly can climb to the very top. This is especially because Deku’s version of the suit is superior to the one that All Might wore long ago.

Technology has come a long way since then, which means that anything that Deku is wearing right now is in an entirely different league compared to what All Might wore. His suit likely replicates the One For All and all the vestige powers within. That, when combined with Deku’s keen intellect means that he should be able to challengethe Top One Hero, Mirio, soon enough.
