Summary
Narutois home to a plethora of different clans, and almost all of them contribute to the overall story. Butthere are certain clansthat are given more importance than the rest, and the Uzumaki Clan is among them.
The Uzumaki Clan was prosperous and feared throughout the world. It has produced some talented ninjas who have significantly contributed to the development of the ninja world. However, there are certain things about the Uzumaki Clan that haven’t been properly explained inNaruto, leading to confusion among the fans.
6Lack Of Participation In The Warring States Period
The Uzumaki Clan Mysteriously Didn’t Fight In The Most Turbulent Time
The Warring States Periodwas a time in history when all the clans were at war with each other. At that particular time, ninja villages didn’t exist, so the clans constantly fought each other. In the manga, it has been stated multiple times that even the Senju and Uchiha clans were fighting each other.
Surprisingly, there is no mention of the Uzumaki Clan. Considering the clan was feared for its strength, it doesn’t make sense for it to stay away from action or not to be attacked by rival clans. It is likely a case of the author not wanting to expand on the clan’s history too much.
5How They Were Beaten
The Uzumaki Clan Was Strongest Yet It Was Demolished
There is no shortage of powerful clans in Naruto, and this particular fact has been highlighted many times in the story. This was true even in older times when clans lived separately. In the past, the Uchiha and Senju clans were the dominant forces, but it is possible that they were supplanted by the Uzumaki Clan.
The clan was feared for its strength and techniques. The Uzumaki Clan members specialized in sealing techniques, which earned them the hatred of the other clans. Thus, they decided to band together and destroy the Uzumaki once and for all. However, it is hard to rationalize how the strongest clan of its time was beaten and almost erased from existence. The reputation of the clan alone should have deterred possible enemies from attacking. Thanks to Naruto Uzumaki, the clan came back from the edge of extinction.
4Why The Senju Didn’t Offer Help To Their Relatives
The Senju And Uzumaki Were Distant Relatives
The Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan have a deep connection. In fact, the members of the two are distant relatives to each other. Given their relationship, it would be fair to say that they would help each other out in times of need. There were marriages between the members of the two clans, which would have strengthened the ties even further.
Yet strangely enough, there is no evidenceof the Senju Clantrying to help the Uzumaki while they were at war with their enemies. Additionally, the destruction of Uzushiogakure was not criticized by the Senju. One would expect better behavior from so-called distant relatives, especially when they are under siege. The author also did not mention how exactly the two clans were connected, which makes the situation more ludicrous.
3How They Are Compatible With The Nine Tails
How Did The Uzumaki Clan Figure Out Their Compatibility
The Nine Tails is the strongest tailed beast in Naruto. It was created after Hagoromo Otsutsuki split the chakra of the Ten-Tails with his Creation of All Things. The Nine Tails was fierce and vindictive, and its appearance was considered an omen of disaster.
For some reason, the Uzumaki Clan members had a special affinity for becoming thejinchuriki of the Nine-Tails. In fact, four out of five jinchuriki of the tailed beast have been members of the Uzumaki Clan. Masashi Kishimoto didn’t take time to expand on this particular trait of the Uzumaki Clan. So, this mystery will forever remain unresolved.
2Why They Lived All By Themselves
The Uzumaki Clan lived in Uzushiogakure, also known as the Hidden Eddy Village. Unlike the other ninja villages, Uzushiogakure only served as home to the Uzumaki Clan, which is highly unusual. In contrast, the Hidden Leaf was made up of multiple clans, which promoted diversity.
On the other hand, the Uzumaki Clan seemedcontent living by themselves. There is a good chance that they turned down approaches from other clans that were looking to settle down. The rejections could have infuriated the clans, after which they would have wanted to cause harm to Uzushiogakure and the Uzumaki.
1Lack Of Big Names
The Clan Does Not Have Any Legendary Ninjas
Almost all the strong clans in Naruto have had powerful fighters who existed many years prior to the timeline. For example, the Uchiha Clan had Madara, Izuna, while the Senju had Hashirama, Tobirama. However, there is no information about the Uzumaki Clan having a warrior who was close to the level of the aforementioned ninjas.
The only famed Uzumaki from the old times was Ashina, the leader of the clan. Since his powers were not disclosed, it is hard to analyze his strength and find out how skilled he was.
