Summary

Season 1 ofNetflix’sWednesdayintroduced Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams as a fast-talking, quick-thinking, and sarcastic Goth high schooler who isn’t so sure about Nevermore Academy. She does manage to bond with a few other students, although she gets caught up in solving a mystery that takes up most of her time.

WhileSteve Buscemi’sWednesdayseason 2 characteris sure to be compelling thanks to the actor’s talent, there are a lot of reasons to look forward toWednesdayseason 2. How Wednesday Season 2 Can Develop This Character

Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) is a fan-favorite who needs more development inWednesdayseason 2. One of the most compelling parts about her is that she’s a werewolf. While this is explored a little bit inWednesdayseason 1, it should be the focal point of one episode in the second season. Enid should embrace her werewolf powers as she’s incredibly strong. This could come in handy considering that Wednesday is looking into another mystery.

Just likeTyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) needs aWednesdayseason 2 storylinethat dives into who he really is, fans want to get to know Enid better. Besidessharing more of her life as a werewolf and her concerns about living this double life,Wednesdayseason 2 could also have a romantic interest for Enid. This would allow fans to see a more vulnerable side of her, which would be engaging.

Finally,Wednesdayseason 2 needs to develop Enid and Wednesday’s friendship more. While the two hug in the season 1 finale, that doesn’t feel quite right for the Addams Family character. The two need fewer corny moments and more scenes solving the mystery together and exchanging funny, witty banter. SinceWednesdayseason 2 will fix one issue from the first season, these new episodes should also refrain from making this friendship too warm and fuzzy. It just doesn’t fit the tone of the character or the series.

In an interview withElite Daily, Emma Myers shared that she wants Enid to help Wednesday find out what’s really going on. She said:

“I would honestly love to see Enid join Wednesday on her investigations more. Enid needs to gain some confidence. And I feel like going out with Wednesday and figuring out murder mysteries would really help her. I would like to see her be some sort of detective.”

Wednesdayseason 2 is going to be darker, which will be a slight shift in tone that feels exciting. SinceWednesday is being stalked, Enid could help find the person who is behind it. The two would be successful and would also bond more, but it wouldn’t be too cheesy to watch.

What Happened To Enid Sinclair In Wednesday Season 1?

InWednesdayseason 1,Enid feels insecure about being a “late bloomer"because she hasn’t turned into a werewolf just yet. Her character arc mostly focuses on her werewolf abilities and her wish to become good friends with Wednesday. AlthoughEnid gets involved in the mystery in theWednesdayseason 1 finale, she feels like more of a side character than she should. Her feelings about being a werewolf are important and are explored, but there’s a lot more that could be featured in season 2. As fans wonder aboutthe main story ofWednesdayseason 2, they also want Enid to be used more.

Enid also provides some comic relief, especially in season 1, episode 4, “Woe What A Night” when Wednesday decides to attend the big dance at Nevermore. Enid cares more about fashion than Wednesday, and this scene is important since it shows that Enid wants to have a more traditional high school experience than Wednesday does. Enid tells her roommate she has to wear a different dress and says:

“Not the one you showed up here in! That thing was a fashion emergency not even lightning could resuscitate!”

WhileWednesdayseason 2 has to discuss Xavier Thorpe’s absence, it also needs to focus on Emma Myers’s character Enid Sinclair, who isa fun and charming character who contrasts with Wednesday nicely. She cares about her roommate, makes sure she’s okay, and respects her tough personality and desire not to fit in. While Enid can’t fully relate to Wednesday, their differences are what makes their dynamic so interesting. Fans want to see more scenes of the two characters together inWednesdayseason 2.
