Wednesdayhas many memorable and fun moments of its own. From a field trip to a pioneer village toWednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) discovering her psychic powers, the TV adaptation is an entertaining, intense, and funny ride. When the second season was announced, fans hoped to see more of the Goth character they love. However, some improvements can be made and some characters can be developed even deeper.
While many characters in the first season of the hit series were along for Wednesday’s darkly hilarious journey,Wednesdayseason 2 needs to raise the stakes and let one great character do a lot more. Although the focus will still be on Ortega, another character should get the limelight they deserve.
Which Character Needs A Plotline In Wednesday Season 2?
Thing should have their own plotline inWednesdayseason 2because they’re an important part of Wednesday Addams’s life. While in the Addams Family franchise, Morticia Addams and Thing are very close, Thing is there for Wednesday asshe looks for the Hyde Monsterin the first season. It would be smart to strengthen their bond in season 2 and have Thing help with the stalker. While of course he can’t talk, he communicates in his unique way, andThing could point toward various clues.
It would also be cool to learn ’s origin story and where he comes from. While he has always been a big part of the franchise and it’s nice that there aresome Addams Family Easter eggsin the Netflix show, it would be fascinating to hear if he has a family or other hands who he is friends with. Since Thing is one of the most popular characters from the previous movies and TV series, fans would enjoy hearing this history.
Thing could also be involved with the other characters, such as Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers).Thing and Enid could go on a mission to find the stalker without Wednesday knowing. This would create fun drama and also set up a possible fight between Thing and Wednesday, which would be interesting to watch.Wednesdayseason 2’s mysterywill hopefully be even more engaging than the first season’s, and everyone has to get involved. Since Enid is so sweet and happy-go-lucky and Thing is quirky and confident, it would be fun to see them together.
Thing should also go home to the Addams Family houseand spend some time with the other Addams Family characters. This would lead to some necessaryAddams Family franchise humorand would also feel nostalgic. Thing knows a lot of Wednesday’s secrets, and he could tell her parents some interesting things about her life at Nevermore. This would create some conflict between Wednesday and her family, which would be fascinating. While the Addams Family members have always gotten along well, they must have their differences, and it seems like the right time to introduce some conflict there.
What Happened To This Character In Wednesday Season 1?
Victor Dorobantu plays Thing inWednesdayseason 1, and while viewers only see a hand, this character plays a crucial role in the first season.Thing looks after Wednesday and ensures she’s safe. Althoughother Addams Family relatives should appearin the second season, it’s nice to see Thing in season 1 since fans are so used to them. Sadly,Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci) stabs Thingwhen she snoops in Enid and Wednesday’s dorm room. WhileWednesdayisn’t scary, fans love Thing and never want to see him in pain. It’s also unnerving to imagineWednesdayseason 2 without Thing, but, thankfully, he survives.

“Thing was ignoring Wednesday, just going through a fashion magazine. This one I love because I think that that attitude was priceless.”
