Call of Duty: Warzoneis a free-to-play battle royale game where players drop into a massive map, scavenging for weapons and gear while fighting to be the last team or player standing. The ongoingCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 5 has brought significant updates, including the introduction of the iconic Atlas Superstore as a new point of interest, alongside new game modes such as Supreme Resurgence and Bounty Contest. Season 5 has also introduced new weapons, enhancements to existing ones, and new in-game mechanics and rewards. To ensure the game works well, the developer has released three patches so far during this season.
The new update, available now, introduces several changes to weapon balance, particularly focusing onWarzone’s light machine guns, submachine guns, and handguns. For submachine guns, the Superi 46 sees its near-mid damage reduced from 29 to 26, and its minimum damage decreased from 25 to 20. Similarly, the WSP Stinger Akimbo has had its maximum damage reduced from 24 to 20, near-mid damage from 22 to 18, and minimum damage from 20 to 17.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Update Changes
The light machine guns adjustments involve changes forWarzone’s RPK with the JAK CataclysmConversion Kit. This weapon was nerfed by reducing its damage at various ranges: the maximum damage was reduced from 140 to 75, the near-mid damage from 130 to 67, and the minimum damage from 120 to 57. Additionally, the maximum damage range has been decreased, the head modifier reduced, and the torso modifiers saw a slight increase.
Finally, changes to handguns include fixing an issue with the COR-45 equipped with the XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit, which previously allowed for a faster fire rate than intended. The update also addresses a couple of bugs to improve gameplay stability. It fixed an issue that prevented the Lachmann-762 and TAQ-V Battle Rifles from equipping the Bioluminescent Camo. Additionally, the default Finishing Move for the Rhea Ripley Operator was changed to Riptide, and a problem that prevented the death marker from appearing after a player was eliminated was resolved.
The new update aims to balance the game’s battlefield by making the necessary adjustments. While players continue to enjoy all thenew features and additions inCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 5, they should now experience more refined gameplay.
