Dragon Ball Project: Multi Coming to PC and Mobile
Three years later, Ganbarion’s next game has now been unveiled in the form ofDragon Ball Project: Multi, which is being pitched as a free-to-play MOBA title for PC and mobile devices. Since Bandai Namco holds the license for makingDragon Ballgames, the Japanese company is the one that’s going to be publishingDragon Ball Project: Multi. The game itself won’t be Ganbarion’s first foray into the famous franchise, as the studio has also previously developed theDragon Ball FusionsRPG, a 3DS exclusive that debuted in North America and Europe in November 2016 and February 2017, respectively.
Dragon Ball Project: Multi Beta Signups Are Now Open, But There’s a Catch
Fans wanting to be among the first to try this newly unveiled MOBA game can. However, the catch is that the upcoming test is regional, with Ganbarion limiting it to just eight countries: the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The regional beta will be available on Android, iOS, and PC (via Steam). The only exception are Germany and South Korea, which will only get access to the mobile version of the beta. The regional test will run from 11pm PT on August 19 to 10:59pm PT on September 2.
Dragon Ball Project: Multistill doesn’t have a firm release date or even a release window. Ditto for an official title, asProject: Multiis merely a provisional moniker. The game itself seems to be a fairlytypical MOBA experience, revolving around PvP battles between two teams of four people. Each playable hero comes with their own skills and abilities that allow them to fulfill one of three basic roles: DPS, tank, and support.
The announcement ofProject: Multiarrives during a bit of a lull for the franchise, as 2023 was the first year in a while without a newDragon Ballgamerelease. The latest such title to emerge isDragon Ball: The Breakers, an online asymmetrical action game that debuted in 2022. The next will beDragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, a Spike Chunsoft-developed fighting game scheduled to launch on May 27, 2025.
