Link’s Awakening and Wind Waker Amiibos Coming Back to Retail Stores
Fans were quick to express excitement for the figures in the replies to Nintendo’s post, but many also lamented the lack of an official Amiibo featuring Zelda’s design inEchoes of Wisdom.The upcoming game utilizesa similar art style toLink’s Awakening,which the Link Amiibo takes its design from, leaving some fans disappointed that Zelda didn’t receive a figure in the same style, especially since she is the main character inEchoes of Wisdom.
Nintendo previously confirmed thatEchoes of Wisdomwill have Amiibo functionality, as players can use them to change the colors of certain outfits, gain valuable items, and possibly even more. Amiibos have functions in plenty of other Nintendo games as well, providing plenty of opportunities to experiment with various games and Amiibos to see what might happen.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomreleases on September 26and puts players in control of the titular princess Zelda in her own solo adventure, though Link will reportedly be playable as well, in some capacity.
