While September has historically been the month Nintendo chooses for its big Direct, it seems to have jumped the gun a little this year, delivering a 40-minute Nintendo Direct focused on Indie games and third-party partners at the end of August. While this latest Nintendo Direct didn’t have too many groundbreaking reveals, there still were plenty of intriguing titles on display, from theshadow-droppedCastlevania Dominus Collectionto a first look atSea of Stars' Throes of the Watchmaker DLC. MySims: Cozy Bundle Releases on November 19 for Nintendo Switch

MySims: Cozy Bundle Explained

Currently set torelease exclusively for the Nintendo Switchon Jun 04, 2025,MySims: Cozy Bundlecollects two of theMySimsspinoff titles:MySimsandMySims Kingdom. The firstMySimsoriginally launched simultaneously on the Nintendo DS and Wii in September 2007, whileMySims Kingdomreleased just over a year later, in October 2008.

Boiling the series down to its bare essentials,MySims' gameplay loop blends the customization and social elements of the mainlineSimsseries with thetown planning and management of theAnimal Crossingfranchise. InMySims, players explore a vibrant present-day island, whileMySims Kingdomdrops players into a fantasy-themed setting. The general goal in both of theseMySimstitles is to build up a town, meet new residents, and establish relationships through various low-maintenance tasks and fun little minigames.

It’s currently a little unclear whether this newMySims: Cozy Bundlewill feature any major changes or improvements from its original 2007 and 2008 iterations. The only thing currently confirmed in this department is a new control scheme that better fits with the Nintendo Switch’s layout. Hopefully, at the very least, thesenew versions ofMySimsandMySims Kingdomwill feature faster loading times than their Wii and DS counterparts.

MySims: Cozy Bundle Could Just Be The Tip of the Iceberg

It may have faded into obscurity over the last decade or so, butMySimsused to be a pretty major franchise for EA. A total of fourMySimstitles followedKingdom’s release, withMySims Party,MySims Racing, andMySims Agentsall dropping in 2009. The final entry in the spinoff series,MySims SkyHeroes, released in September 2010, marking a 14-year hiatus for the series.

But withMySims: Cozy Bundle, theMySimsseries is back, and this rerelease has the potential to spark a powerful chain reaction. IfMySims: Cozy Bundleperforms well, then it could lead EA to rerelease the rest of the series. And if things go really well, then a newMySimsgame might even be on the cards, though that feels like a bit of a tall order at this point, with EA presumably spending most of its resources on trying to get its mysterious Project Rene out the door.
