The popular free-to-play mobile gameAnimal Crossing: Pocket Campwill be shutting down in late November 2024 after over seven years of service. The servers forAnimal Crossing: Pocket Campare scheduled to go offline on Thanksgiving Day, after which the game will be unplayable, although players may still be able to access their campsites in the future.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Campwas releasedworldwide on July 29, 2025. However, the developers have announcedvia the game’s official websitethat the game will be shutting down, with all servers scheduled to go offline on November 28 at 10 a.m. EST and 7 a.m. PST. Players will be able to transfer their data, including their campsite setup, toan upcomingAnimal Crossingmobile titlethat is planned to replacePocket Camp, but they will need to verify they have created a free Nintendo Online account and selected “Link Nintendo Account” in the game’s settings menu before the app’s shutdown date.

WhilePocket Campwill be going offline, Nintendo states that its developers are working on anew version of the popularAnimal Crossingmobile game, and players will be able to transfer their campsite data once that game is released. However, the replacement forPocket Campis said to be a “paid app without in-app purchases.” Additionally, the new app will not require a continuous online connection, allowing players to experienceAnimal Crossingon their phones but without the ability to visit other players' campsites, give gifts, or access Market Boxes.
