How to Get the Electric Eel Deviant
The Electric Eel deviant is a special creature thathelps your generators maximize their power output. This creature thrives in an environment with blue light, mechanical sounds, and warm temperatures—and dislikes relaxing music. When you get the eel to your base, it is important to understand how to keep the creature generating at its best. To catch an Electric Eel, you must first craft a Fishing Rod and Baits at a Workbench.
To craft a Fishing Rod you will needLogs andCopper Ingots. While Logs and Copper Ingots can be acquired easily, the Bait can be crafted using Corn and can also be bought from the NPCs.
Finding & Catching the Electric Eel
Go to theMayor’s Market Docks in South Deadsvilleto catch anElectric Eel. The region is known for containing a large population of these Deviants.
Equip your fishing rodby pressing the hotkey (usually hotkey 9). Then, equip your bait bypressing the R key. The type of bait you use is important;Dough Fish Baitmade fromcornworks especially well.
The casting of your fishing line is you looking down, moving the mouse until a green circle comes up, and then clicking to cast. You’ll need to be persistent since catching theseDeviants can take a few tries.
However, your chances improve during Party and Surge of Fish events. They are marked on the map, where each lasts 30 minutes.
If the Electric Eel bites, a reel icon will appear, and you’ll get started with a timer. Left-click to begin rolling it in while observing the Escape and Break meters on your screen. You have to fill in the Escape meter and ensure that you do not empty the Break meter at any point of your escape.
